Those are some mods I hadn't seen before so thanks for sharing. That seat back tie down and roller grip height increase just make a lot of sense.

Just bought a 127. I appreciate the tips. Just a thought, cutting the perch pads around the track does look cool, but it might create a pool to hold water that may at some point seep into one of the 72 screw holes you have to drill to mount the tracks, and it makes the perch pads useless anyway. I just peeled the perch pads off and mounted the tracks. Like you said, when the boat is fairly new, the pads will easily peel off. You can stick them on some wax paper and save them for another project.

Great tips in this video. Although you didn't mention your Anchor Wizard set up. I also picked up my SS127 from Westbrook; best kayak on the market in my opinion. I'm currently running my Helix 5 using the YakAttack cellblok and I'm torn whether or not I should mount it on the pod. I keep thinking that the transducer will get beaten up if I don't take the pod out every time.

Very well done! Can you make a video on how you mounted your fish finder? In another video I saw you had your dry pod sitting on the deck while you were putting in. PSA: if attempting the raised rotogrip aspect of this video, I'm fairly certain he must have used the 2" bolts. I got the 1.5, and it definitely doesn't work as implied in the video.. damn!

On the first mod..why not use a bungie and just take that stock, overdone paddle sleeve off?? You dont need to mess with the rotogrip..
