Awesome, it’s amazing how much the deer use licking branches.

Great video, fellow Wisconsinite. We are hoping to get some out this weekend.

Thank you. Good luck setting them up, when done correctly they can become one of the most used licking branches and scrapes in your entire area

I've had mine out for two weeks on the edge of a field. Lots of deer around it but very few have actually left their scent on it. I think I used too thick of a vine. I'm going to fix it tomorrow, gotta have a 10 foot ladder tho which sucks

Yeah I’ve always used vines about the size of your finger to quarter diameter at the biggest.

I'll put some out tomorrow

Has anybody tried building a horizontal rubbing post like Ted Miller uses? It looks like a winner.
@wisconsinwhitetail97443 жыл бұрын
I haven’t but like these vine mock scrapes or any mock scrape. Horizontal rubs don’t attract more bucks. All it does is distract them from you. Like these vines you still need a good spot to set them up if you want consistent daylight buck use.

For mock scrapes does it matter what tree you use?
@wisconsinwhitetail9744 Жыл бұрын
No. Tree species doesn’t matter. You can even tie a string between 2 trees and drop a vine in the center of a deer trail.
