I have used both , why you can’t setup , You need paid subscriptions both Spotify & Apple Music, then go to alexa app in phone app and setup music services bu sign in , Also you can setup Spotify directly in SmartThings app, tap to right corner three dot, and setup Spotify directly

yes brother you can use both at same time , you can use alexa on tv from samsung tv remote hold the mic button,and soundbar you can use alexa without press any button ( handfree voice control) 👍🏻

Q800A Soundbar has inbuilt alexa , you no need to connect extra exho device to control alexa devices, some countries alexa restricted 🚫, but if your cellphone alexa work then it must be work also on your soundbar, Watch my video carefully step by step and reset all old settings and try again for starting bro 👍

You can download first smarthing app, the there is option of connect alexa, alexa app should installed on device

hey 👋, Alexa is insbuilt in samsung HW Q800A soundbar. no need to buy echo device for alexa capability. yes you can optional pair alexa with Q800A, if you want to command alexa from another room ( far from soundbar) ,then its helpful, or some country’s alexa not support on samsung devices ( you can check samsung website) , if its not like that then you can enjoy alexa with q800A its same work like amazon echo devices ,command, control you any devices with soundbar ,👍🏻 hope its helpful for you , keep supporting ❤️

In SmartThings app open soundbar tap, then click on 3 dot then add Spotify account, its not necessary to have Spotify premium, if your phone have Spotify app , it ill automatically to login page and connected your id simple as that

I did the setup and everything synched correctly and appeared as intended, but when I say "Alexa" nothing happens. My soundbar shows correctly on Echo devices and I can set up the language for Alexa and everything. I tried leaving everything in USA and in English and still nothing happens... The soundbar's firmware was also up to date

But they are saying that Alexa feature will not work alone I need to give command in Mobile to work and for atoms they said we won't feel the difference in sound. Since I purchased through online I don't have any other contact point to raise this issue ☹

@@ArvarTechStudio i dont have echo device. All I am using is Alexa in Samsung soundbar. In the Alexa app, i have included the skills for all the music apps like gaana, hungama, jio saavan, apple and Spotify. In these first 2(gaana, hungama) are working fine in the soundbar. But for the remaining 3, it says the "not supported" comment. Unfortunately, in my Alexa Android app when I say command for Spotify, it is playing. But not in my soundbar. Other 2 apps (saavan, apple) is not playing on Android app or soundbar alexa

i have samsung Qled 2021 edition & samsung Q800A soundbar also , in My Qled when i command to Alexa play song on apple music ( not supported) , only take command for spotify ☹️, then my soundbar Q800A alexa only support Ganna for play music command , It’s irritating ( but its Samsung & Samsung restrictions brother) No solution ! but its not for Amazon echo devices , they support all music subscriptions , and work like charm , in my video i explain how to connect another echo device for your soundbar for reached alexa capabilities, but samsung individual device has own restrictions, sorry for that brother, i can’t help you for this , because it has no solution, if you need any quary pls ask me anytime , possibly to ans soon as possible 🙏

@@ArvarTechStudio thank you so much for your responses! I tried to reach support for Samsung, Spotify and Amazon. Everybody is finger pointing the others like that spider man meme. No valid solution from none of them. Seriously disappointed with the purchase. But I really love the audio, much better and clear than Sony. As of now, I am playing Spotify using its own app over WiFi and playing Gaana using Alexa in soundbar coz gaana feels better sound than Hungama. Let's wait for the solution update from Samsung atleast for the Spotify via Alexa. Because he is the main culprit here

@@Hewitte1 Samsung will call me back tomorrow, to see if they can fix it. For some reason, when i say “hey bixby” it works. (Bixby is the Samsung variant of Alexa). So if that works and tv respons, you know it’s not a broken microphone. I will let u know if i get more info🙂

Can you connect your soundbar with spotify account , in smartthing app ?

I contacted support again, they say it is a regional problem in Switzerland and Austria where I live, same problem with all Bose Smart Soundbars, there are missing licence contracts between Amazon-Spotify-Vendor and no one knows the details... :/

Doesn't matter your amazon account is from usa , if your living in countries where alexa restricted then it won't work, If you're from usa and you have amazon USA account then definitely its working for you, First check the soundbar mic button bottom of soundbar ( if its off then red dot appears on soundbar screen)

It worked three days ago, but since yesterday doesn't work, I did a reset factory but nothing happened

Not to worry, if its worked last days that means no religion restrictions, Deleted all apps like amazon alexa and smarthing app , do all setup again watch my video step by step, Definitely it ill work 👍🏼

Ok you said when you open SmartThings app click on three dots then click sign in alexa after that safari web page open and amazon sign page appears, in your case when you click sign in and safari page open then nothing happened?? Just loading ? Am I right

@@ArvarTechStudio yes exactly.. it's not opening Amazon account page... Nothing happening just remains there after clicking sign.. did factory reset of sound bar, still same..maybe it's my phns problem

Pls check both your phone and your soundbar is connected with same wifi. I mean both connected with 2.4ghz or 5ghz, this code error means samsung SmartThings error code ( 15-200) , If both in same wiffi then check wiffi router security select wpa2 not 3

Turn off/on soundbar, if touch button won’t work, and red dot 🔴 yet appear soundbar then do it with soundbar remote, press setting button and turn off mic

setup was completed. but i can only command alexa through phone. the soundbar did not detect alexa voice.

i checked the Mic already turn on. seem like my q800a did not come with voice assistance.

on your video minute 03:10 there is a setting for language. but on mine that option not available. maybe thats was the reason for it didn't work.
