I want RME to make a field recorder. They are probably the most diligent and committed audio converter manufacturer out there and they would do amazing in the high-end field and production sound space 😻 Even if it’s just an ADI-2 with a Hirose jack or battery sled and timecode, that would already be incredible!

Is there any chance of ever getting TotalMix to run natively on the ADI-2 Pro or is it a different architecture? Obviously limited channel count but it would be useful to route inputs and outputs via TotalMix and do some channel strip work.

Thank you for posting this, really appreciated. I’ve been wondering how to do this for a while. One question: does the ADI only affect playback audio quality in this scenario? Or does it also “take over” for, say, two channels going into a DAW for recording? I ask because I have a DAW that enables 32-bit recording/exporting. The UFX II obviously does not support this but the ADI-2 Pro FS does. Am I still limited to going into the DAW at 24-bit even with this sync’d setup?

Can i use the DAC FS strictly for mixing and mastering? i am thinking of getting the rode nt1a 5th gen, so i am guessing combined with the DAC FS for monitoring would be a pretty deadly combo

Hi adrian, today i asked thomann, why the UFX 2 and the UCX 2 are not listed anymore at thomann, the answer was , RME has Problems with delivering the Interfaces, and recomend me the UAD Apollo. Is it true that i cannot buy for the moment a UCX or UFC 2 ? best regards and where can i here Final Mixes Songs who are mixed with RME, i can nothing find on Yt or somewhere else any songs. Thanks

Also wondering how the sound conversion quality of Babyface Pro FS would be when compared to ADI-2 Pro FS. Kindly suggest. Great solution! I think this could be a nice upgrade for my AIO. Question: I would have to deal with roughly 10m for the cable. I like the idea of using the optical connection (no galvanic connection), but I am a little bit concerned regarding the 5m max (specs - not real life). how to enable ADI 2 DAC FS / ADI 2 Pro FS R connection to TotalMix FX natively over USB? i have ADI 2 DAC FS for my mixing work and it's amazing considering ADI 2 Pro FS R Black to travel with, but not sure if it supports TotalMix FX, as DAC FS does not use it at all I need it for CUE HP mixing when recording vocals, optional 4ch/6ch output routing would be great as well thanks for great products

hallo liebes rme team, koenntet ihr mir vielleicht helfen bitte? ich habe den adi 2 pro. versuche ihn im balanced modus zu betreiben, mein sennheiser 650er haengt an einem xlr male kabel dran. ich habe mir einen adapter gekauft mit 1 x xlr female auf 2 x 6,3mm stereo klinke. diesen adapter an das xlr 650er kabel angeschlossen, beide in die beiden front anschluesse geschobe, balanced modus im geraet eingestellt. alles klingt super, nur aber kriege ich nur mono sound raus. der meter zeigt, egal was ich durch das geraet laufen lasse, immer die selben zahlen auf dem linken und rechten channel an. wenn ich in meiner daw alles auf rechts oder links drehe muesste normalerweise nur sound aus der linken oder rechten muschel kommen. der sound kommt aber immer aus beiden muscheln raus. wenn ich aber im adi 2 menu bei balance alles auf rechts drehe, dann kommt sound, wie es sein sollte, nur aus der rechten muschel und links genauso. koenntet ihr mir da vielleicht weiterhelfen bitte? vielen dank

I am amazed at how good everything works. There is nothing like RME. Is there any information on when the availability will improve? It is all beautiful in theory but worth nothing because you can get them anywhere. Not for a long time.

Why is the ADI-2 Pro FS R cancelled? What is going on? That was the best ADC on the market. ADI-2 Pro FS R scores below -71 dBFS on DiffMaker loopback transparency test, with sharp filter and DC filter disabled. ADI-2 Pro scores -64 dBFS integrated difference, with sharp filter and DC filter disabled. What are we supposed to do now? No more #1 ADC? Now we can only buy old ones? No more -71 dBFS diff? RME you made a mistake, you should have the #1 ADC on the market. We should not have to buy USED, DISCONTINUED units to get the best ADC.

This is such a ghetto setup. Just buy an 802 fs, ucx etc
