Seven family members killed in Eastern Cape

Tragedy has revisited the Mgxada family in the Eastern Cape.
Gunmen shot dead seven family members last night, as they gathered to finalise burial arrangements of another family member, who was murdered last week.People in Bityi are living in fear following a spate of killings over the past two years. Last month, three patrons at a local tavern were gunned down.

Living in already such harsh conditions and having to endure such immeasurably tragic events are beyond my understanding. My heart goes out to the family and loved ones of these people so senselessly killed. May the ones lost, Rest in Peace. 🙏

I still can't believe drugs have reached my village. We used to hear stories about gang violence from the cities, unfortunately where there are drugs there are also guns and prostitution. My neighbors son was recently shot in broad day light, I still can't believe he was a drug dealer and a gang member. It's possible that the apprehended boys were selling drugs and the community is fighting against drugs. Maybe utata is leading this fight cause he also has grandchildren. This drug issue is so heartbreaking!! I feel bad for people who are raising teenagers especially boys. Stick fighting is now getting replaced by guns. I also feel sad for our small towns police officers, I wonder if they being trained to deal with gangs, somehow I feel like government is loosing to thugs. Our only hope is Jehovah

People must remember this when they complain that the DA is in cabinet. South Africans need urgent action to counter crime. And urgent action wont come from an inactive government that does its own thing.

What's going on in the world since ??? S.A has always been violent way before 1994, just that violence targeted a certain group of people, now it affects everyone.
