I don’t understand but i luv you is just so heartwarming. The fact that they first saw this as a comment, then feeling grateful that there are people who even if they don’t understand what they’re saying in real time they just know they love them, to them making a song with this title😭

This album is yet again another masterpiece! I am so glad you got the Truman show reference! I have seen many reactors not understand it. You were right about the performance unit's song. In one of their lives a carat commented "I don't understand, but I love you". Hoshi read it out loud and got very touched and moved by it and in the live even said "We could use this as lyrics". And well here it is! Pretty much describing that love Transends languages.

They put their whole foot in "I don't understand but I luv you" it gave me early 2000s R&B vibes. A carat commented on their live "I don't understand but I love you" and they loved it so much and made this song. I love them for that because this is one of the best songs I've ever ever heard in kpop.

I posted this under another reaction simply because it explains more about the symbolism in "Super": Woozi (a highly empathic INFJ) said he wrote this in the middle of the night, and it was very hard. He was going through his own "dark night of the soul"; and he said he had to dig deep and face all the "demons" and negativity people worldwide are facing right now, and it became very emotional for him and HARD to write the song. The purpose is to express what I would say the majority of the world's population are thinking/feeling right now, especially in those countries where people are under surveillance (Seungkwan, a whistleblower, in the corporate world, trying to escape like Truman did; DK finding a camera in his lamp and drones outside his window, so he smashes his TV which may also be spying on him; etc.), where everything wrong seems to be happening (Woozi doesn't even HAVE a driver's license and doesn't drive on purpose, so he probably would feel dumb trying to start a car and turning on the wipers instead...but Truman's car wouldn't start either), Mingyu having a stage camera fall on his car (just like the camera fell nearly hitting Truman in The Truman Show...Wonwoo trying to leave but getting blocked only to end up with it raining on only his right side (meaning the world is fake)...there are SO MANY references to The Truman Show in this video it's unreal!), Joshua saying goodbye to a friend only to find a button pin just like Truman did sharing Truth. They're all trying to escape the "set" or "stage" of life, but keep getting blocked. Truman desperately wanted to go overseas, purchased tickets, but was too afraid of the water to go. Woozi has a ticket, but keeps getting blocked...again, just like Truman did. The only way Truman could escape was to put a dummy in his bed (like Hoshi) so the producers of the show would think he was sleeping while he ran away. Did you notice that the drawing in the mirror that Hoshi is looking at is a monkey...referring to Sonongong...the mythical Monkey King of their latest blockbuster hit? And another thing I found significant is that as Dino is looking up at the night sky, the Big Dipper constellation changes into the Southern Cross. (The Cross.) The title of the book Woozi is reading is "Microwave and RF Design of Wireless Systems"...a tip of the hat to a "conspiracy theory" that we're being zapped with negative energies via technology (including our cell phones). It's significant that S.Coups finally walks over and turns off the lights on the set, indicating this life is nothing but a stage. Once the lights are out, that's when you see the ocean, with storm clouds forming in the background....just like the director of The Truman Show created to drown Truman once he finally beat his fear and got on a boat. TOO MANY references to the movie; and it's EXACTLY how people are feeling everywhere. Even Minghao (aka The8) said he's felt this way many times, and his only salvation--which is everyone's--was to find himself, which he does through meditation. So overall I think the video is beautiful...Seventeen letting their fan base CARATs (as in diamonds) know THEY UNDERSTAND what they're feeling...especially those in China and other tightly controlled countries...and that the way to overcome is to return to and find yourself. Don't quit, don't let the numbness (apathy) set in, don't hide your feelings by just laughing it off, don't fear your past self embarrassing you now because your past self isn't who you are now. FIND YOURSELF. FIGHT For Your Life (the billboards behind Jun read "Nothing Will Make You Happy", "Waves of Fear Coming To You" l, "Never Make Mistakes" and "Avoid Challenges/Stay Safe"...the messages/propaganda of the world and what we must ignore). And CARATs...Seventeen understands what you're going through and feeling, too!

I love love in entire album of FML. FML is a comfort song while Super is a power up and cheer up song. The fact FML and Super corresponds with each other, and even Woozi has said Super is the answer to FML. Woozi is an excellent storyteller when it comes to songwriting and producing. Hip Hop Team Fire is an excellent fierry pump up song. Each time I listened to it my energy increased to the max. Hoshi also did an amazing job on co-writing I Don’t Undestand But I Luv U. It is like Seventeen and Carats may speak and write in many different languages, but our love for one another are the same. Dino has also said it was produced to be the second part of Lilili Yabbay. I am happy it reached #1 Billboard’s Hot Trending Chart. Vocal Team Dust I absolutely love love the 80s vibe melody. Always puts a smile on face while listening to it. It is a beautiful song that brightens up my day. I have fun listening to it and singing a long to it. April Shower like Seungkwan has said, and I agree with him it is a perfect Spring song. I love love April Shower so much. I am so proud and happy for Seventeen. FML #1 Billboard Artist 100, #2 Billboard 200, #1 Album Top Album Sales, and they keep on making records. 2023 is Seventeen’s year.

RJ YOU LOOK SO CUTE sorry off topic but the shirt/colors/styling anyway. The immediate difference between reactions to this from people who have seen Truman Show vs those who haven't haha. But what's cool is that the message is still coming across really strongly about the song, but knowing the movie really adds SO MUCH depth and understanding about the meaning as opposed to thinking it's general escapism vs. finding a way to live your own life. (which most people get that anyway but still, I feel like it's such an impressive way to tell that message through Truman Show references) I think the bell in Fire is agogo bells (latin percussion used in Samba commonly) the two different pitches and the pattern of how their played is soooo agogo BTW I think Hoshi even said it was Lilili Yabbay Pt 2 in an interview not long ago - definitely the guitar and the vibes for parts of Lilili Yabbay. It's like Lilili Yabbay grown up. I Don't Understand But I Luv U IS JUST A MASTERPIECE. Everyone really pulled out everything for that song in PFU. the vocals are so amazing. The lyrics. Everything is perfect. The guitar. (And you got the inspiration perfectly!) Dust is 100% too short. I didn't click with it first listen. But these days I want it on repeat idk what happened. THANK YOU for catching on to The Truman Show connection. Their song "Super" is in response to Hoshi's lyrics of wishing he could have been the hero in his favorite cartoon, since Sonongong is the inspiration for the hero in Dragon Ball, and Seventeen became the heros in "Super"...never quitting. This is also a tip of the hat to their song "Shadow" where they all have had to face their own shadow selfs and embrace/integrate them in order to keep winning. SO MUCH in all of their songs with meanings far deeper than most people realize.

in Fire, they say "universe factory" which is woozi's studio name (where svt's song mostly produced) IDUBILU was created because hoshi saw a comment of an international fan saying "i dont understand but ily" bcs they were doing live without subtitles, hoshi went "whoa that sounds like a nice song title" and BAM it happen
