They debuted in 2015 as 13 members. They are still 13 members. Nobody left. None went to military yet. The fans are called carats. As in diamonds. They have a few nicknames: - Synchronisation Kings - Theatre kids of Kpop - Powerhouse performances Their choreography is a joy to watch. They have 3 units: vocal, HipHop and performance units. And each unit has a leader. The three leaders have songs too. You might wanna check out Cheers by the leaders.

"Super" is based on the mythical monkey king Sonongong, or Son of Gong, on which Dragon Ball is based. THAT'S why the "cartoon credits" part comes in. They're saying that thanks to their Carats (the fan base, as in 17 carat diamonds), they feel like Sonongong...flying on their magical cloud, using their magical staff (pole) to defeat evil, etc. "Darumdurimda" is a word their composer/lyricist/producer Woozi (shortest member of the group who introduces and ends the song on the shoulders of dancers) made up to go with the rhythm of the song. The backdrop was an abandoned hotel, there was no CGI, and there were over 250 back-up dancers. Watch their practice video of "Super" if you REALLY want your mind blown due to the choreography! So much "magic" is missed in the MV. The practice video is actually just as good as the MV!! "Super" actually won MAMA's and Golden Disc's Album of the Year awards late 2023. They broke ALL K-Pop records (sorry BTS fans!) with the most pre-release sales EVER...over 6.2 million!!!! So yeah...they're a force to be reckoned with! Most began training in middle school back in 2012. The group was supposed to have 17 members, but they never got that far. So 13 debuted in 2015, and they introduced the marketing scheme of 13 members + 3 sub-units (Hip Hop, Performance and Vocal) + they together make up 1 group, and you get 17 (13 + 3 + 1). That has since been revised a bit to where the "1" now equals the Carats. They have HUNDREDS of songs...and they're ALL self produced!! They also do most of their own choreography. They're called The Kings of Synchronicity because they are, without a doubt, THE MOST synchronized group in K-/C-/J-/P-Pop, etc.; AND...their choreos are considered some of the MOST difficult in any music genre. Seventeen quickly became my #1 group ever. Not just in kpop but in music as a whole. Not only do they have so many genres of music and one of the most craziest choreos but you can feel the love they have for each other, their music, and their fans. They’re hilarious and it’s hard not to love. People say seventeen comes into your life when you need them the most so I hope you enjoy your seventeen journey if you do decide to dig into them more :)!

Yes. 13 members in 3 subunits (vocal, performance, and hip hop). They debuted in 2015, so their discography is QUITE extensive. They’re self produced, so their discography is also quite diverse. You could probably listen to 10 songs and get 10 different concepts/genres. They are known for their choreography and their synchronization. You could watch just about any of their choreography/ dance practice videos and be amazed and mesmerized. A good place to start is usually their Killing Voice episode so you can see get a sample of their music. But also, choreography videos. Starting with this one for Super. But also Hot, Hit, Getting Closer, and Home Run. Five different songs, but I promise you will see five different versions of them.

Love these guys. Literally, statistically, the most in-sync group in KPop with their choreography. I suggest: Hot, God of Music, Fear, Rock With You, Left and Right, and Clap.

The guy at the start is called woozi and he’s into anime and this song is based on a mythical monkey king - dragon ball z is based on this too. There’s loads of references to dragon ball, like the kamehame ha😭 anyways people in the comments explained it better. He takes part in composing, writing and arranging most of their songs. He once did a live for over 6 hours ranking anime😭 they’re all so talented. They even choreograph most of their music since before debut. You should react to their Killing Voice (btw go to the settings to select the subtitles, it irks me when reactors think there’s no subtitles😭). Also all of their title tracks and their To You b side track. Their vocals, rapping and dancing is amazing. They’re known as the Kings of Synchronisation for a reason and the Theatre Kids of Kpop. “Welcome to the Diamond Life!” Is how we greet new Carats (Diamond carats, not vegetable Carrots). Carats are the fans of SVT! There have always been 13 members since debut (even though the company tried to debut with 17, it just didn’t work out), but they rolled with it. This particular song is called Son Oh Gong in Korean (Super in English, not a translation). Son Oh Gong is the Monkey King in mythology, a common figure in Chinese, Korean and Japanese folklore-who Son Goku is based on in Dragon Ball Z. If you read the lyrics carefully, you’ll see a lot of DBZ references from “jump on my flying cloud” to power ups and magic staff references, along with a lot of DBZ references in the dance moves as well-so that means they were talking about an anime end credit song, when they said “cartoon ending song” SVT is known as the Synchronization Kings of Kpop, and also the musical theater kids of Kpop. They’re seriously hilarious as a group, so I hope you get to know them more!

Yes there are 13 of them, and they debuted in 2015 and are self producing group :) You should check out Super choreography its insane!!!! Also Super's korean title is Son-O-Gong which is a character from Journey to the west from which Goku's character from Dragon Ball is taken. And Goku in korean Dragon ball is called Son-O-Gong. Hence the last line talks about cartoon (Manhwa). Actually not just the last line but there is more Dragon Ball references in both the lyrics and choreo. Seventeen songs are amazing and dance wise they are really synchronized! Hope you get to check out more Seventeen!~

This particular song is such an extravaganza with 200+ extra dancers, an abandoned hotel wired up for lights, a new entrance and the panels are new too. I still don't know why the ground is red(?) It's hard to see the choreo in the MV but the dance practice really shows it off. I've been a fan for 4+ years and they are still surprising me with their music. 2 are from the US, 2 from China and the rest are Korean. Dingo Killing Voice will show them in action. And of course the extra long guide will fill in the details. But it's their music in that will amaze you . I suggest: God of Music Call Call Call World Dream Left & Right.

As many have commented, this MV is based on the anime show that we know as Dragon Ball Z(Woozi, one of the leaders, is a huge fan of anime). Sonogong is the Korean version of Son Goku. FYI they had over 200 real backup dancers, no CGI here. Thanks for your great reaction!!

Not sure if you will like it as much as Super but I feel like you should check out “God of Music” it is a brighter song but I think it reflects how versatile they are.
