The church is part and parcel of political corruption in Kenya. The clergy is a major beneficiary of rooted taxes and also benefits from selling the pulpit to politicians and sanitising politicians in exchange for part of the rooted public taxes.

Dear president William Ruto and dear Kenyans, Kenya has been the best country in Eastern Africa in terms of peace, human rights and economic development. What the World has been witnessing in the last week is shocking. _Every country that wants to deliver services to its citizens has to raise the money and taxes are a common way they do it here in the Western World, but any African president has to judge the financial situation before raising taxes on basic needs like bread and sanitary pads. _I'm pro-tax because taxes help governments to deliver services to citizens. Please, stop the Mandamano because Ruto has already cancelled the Financial Bill, unless there are other underlying issues those of us outside don't know.
