I have mild asthma. I don’t get asthma attacks but When I exercise I get wheezy and I can’t breath much,I never get first place, second place, third place and not even the runner ups! I don’t really care,I just don’t wanna die as I am a fourth grader.

I had asthma attacks as a small child when I lived near an outdoor laundry room that was always being used. The strong detergents would seep through the walls door and into my nursery. After we moved out, I instantly got better until I nolonger needed those portable inhaler machines. Then poof, asthma gone. A decade later, my asthma reappeared during a trip overseas when I got sick after drinking the local water. I was already going through pretty much everything all at once (think flu, vomitting, acid reflux and explosive diarrhea) so my "surprise asthma" was the icing on the cake. The asthma part lasted for about 2 days (while everything else took weeks) and after that, it was gone again. 10 more years later and I'm still asthma-free. Edit: read somewhere that there's no cure for asthma, and that might technically be true. I might have a flare up if I'm ever in an extreme situation that my body's not used to, like when traveling, which I haven't done yet, but it's not like other diseases that return whenever they want. So, in a way, it's like you're half-cured. I guess my only worry would be if it happens while I'm traveling solo without people. I've never been in snowy regions and hiking in the white mountains is a dream of mine.

I can relate. My worst fear is a home with cats and dogs fur everywhere. It will literally kill me. I think asthma can diminish with excellent health and exercise in the teenage years of life. It can be too late if a person never did those activities growing up. Most allergies are triggers and are permanent. That's why I had to raise my daughter around animals to lower her chances of developing severe allergies to cats /dogs like me.

Like with the ancient tooth-worm notion lasting millenia that tooth caries was due to a worm the present asthma theory about treating asthma with medication is wrong-headed and we have the asthma-paradox that more medication causes more asthma. In other cultures mudras such as pressing a finger against the thumb (chin mudra) with mouth shut are used to treat asthma by relaxing our lung airways. Christian prayer with interlaced fingers is the ambuja mudra.

@@billieeilishthequeen9494 I've had severe asthma all my life. I'm 30 now and still have it because I smoke a lot. I know I shouldn't smoke but I like to. It was a lot worse growing up. It doesn't get manageable until you are an adult. I am extremely allergic to cat and dog fur. I've been hospitalized like 30 - 40 times in my lifetime. I've had a collapsed lung twice and caused minor damage to my respiratory system. Being overweight only causes more difficulties. Exercise and a good diet/vitamins are the best cure for asthma. Always avoid triggers and never smoke. 🙂 Use less oral steroids when young.

Asthma is not as controllable as you think!! When you have mild asthma it is manageable but when you are like me with severe asthma it’s not as manageable. It’s scary not knowing when you might stop breathing. You could be just sitting at home watching tv but then all of sudden your lungs start to close in on themselves and you have to be given 5 or 6 shots of steroids and epi to try and open up your lungs or else they have to put a tube down your throat to breathe for you because you can’t do it for yourself. And for you to say that it’s controllable for everyone who has asthma is a completely ignorant thing to say. I’m happy that your asthma is controlled and that you’ve been able to stay out of life threatening situations but that sadly isn’t the case for the people who die every day from asthma.

@@izabelbrailovsky7560 Please keep the word ignorance out of the section. It's over used. I have severe asthma. It's kept me from joining the military. Only to find out that it goes away with exercise. I've had two collapsed lungs I'm my lifetime. If it wasn't controllable or treatable we'd be dead. Don't contradict me with your insolence. Fact: Obesity makes it worse.
