SevTech: Ages is a massive modpack packed with content and progression. This pack focuses on providing the player a long-term progression experience with purpose. SevTech introduces a number of mechanics never before done such as: hiding ore until unlocked, dynamically hidden items and recipes based on progress, new mobs appear as you progress further, and much more! The modpack uses the vanilla advancement system to guide the player along while still allowing an open, sandbox experience. As you progress through the hundreds of custom advancements you will unlock new "ages" which will show you new mods to work through.

For Chosen and anyone who doesnt want negative effects for PE collection: An even better way to use the statues without any bad effects happening is to make a place of power instead The easiest one to make requires a monolith stone and 3 statues. Place the monolith stone in the floor 3 blocks away from the pedestal, then stack 3 statues on top of it. To activate the place of power, right click the monolith stone with the necronomicon and u should see the texture on it change, indicating that the structure is complete I found having 8 of these structures surrounding the pedestal in a square fills it up rather quickly as well as safely, as the negative effects dont happen anymore

Another note of this place of power also increases the range by a whole lot

The big note on this is as one of the negative effects is spawning a bunch of shadow creatures, you may want the negative effects to farm more gems before using the safer method, so it's up to what you need

I did a bit of stuff with tinkers construct and made it function with a few other mods, and several blocks that it didn’t work with before, and using this, ended up making a supremium chisel.

If you search through the necronomicon you can build a structure to appease the gods with monolith stone and statues to negate the bad effects

I found early on it was ironically cheaper to make coralium infused stone with the alt recipe which uses 3 3x clusters and 6 stone instead of a single 9x cluster and 8 stone, sure you can get more stone slowly from strainers, but it's *almost* impossible yet to get a cobblestone generator, and if you do find an island with water and lava close enough to flow together, you gotta put up with those tanky fireballing magma freaks

yeah when I was doing Sevtech (the non-skyblock version) the Shoggoths actually spit acid. It was actually nearly impossible to get the shoggoth flesh you needed at the tech level you were stuck at at that point. I had full bronze armor and weapons and the dang things would 2 shot me with their ranged attacks.

I think it was an update to abyssalcraft that was later reverted or the acid attacks were removed in later versions but I lost 4-5 sets of armor trying to do it before I just cheated the materials in

Okay, so if I am playing modded minecraft through the twitch app, do I always have to unpack all mods when launching? It's very tedious and I always have to keep changing some settings for it to work. Is there a way for Minecraft to just launch the modpack without having to unpack and install all mods over and over again?

How does one travel effectively? I notice I have problems trying to reach higher up islands because the void doesnt push me up enough resulting in me being stranded and having to nerd pole up.
