Hello and welcome to my sewing room!
Today I'm showing you how to make my
#4 Home Town Quilt Block in 5" and also 10" size.
I am using my latest fabric collection HOME TOWN designed by me and produced and distributed by the fabulous Riley Blake Designs.
I have given you the cutting recipe for both sizes below so be sure and click until the entire description of this video is visible below.
I am making these blocks to go into the HOME TOWN SEW ALONG QUILT which takes place on my blog every Friday and Monday during this sew along.

Each tutorial I'll be showing you just one of ten blocks.
I'm also going to make several blocks of each of the ten to make a quilt for my bed and then I'll design 6 more and add them to my quilt...of course I'll show you how to make those as well!
I'll take you along on that journey with me as I sew blocks each time on my vintage featherweight sewing machine.

I appreciate how you explain the process more than once & why it’s important. Simple tips like which way to roll the seam open before ironing & to continue measuring have been most helpful to me. Always feel like I’m sitting right next to you Lori!!

I sure do!...with a few exceptions here and there and I always explain those exceptions during my tutorials:)

I’ve been getting my nails done recently with ANC, to alleviate my cracked and splitting nails. But now, watching you open up seams to iron them open, it’s more difficult to spread the seams open! Lol

What size Quilter’s Clappers do you use from Riley Blake? There is a 7” and a 12”. I know you have put a couple down next to each other so I’m wondering if the 7” ones would be better. Perhaps buying 6 of them.
