Hello My Lovelies,
In this episode, I'm Sewing My Vintage Utility Capsule Wardrobe and I'm starting with my priority sew, The Shepherd Skirt by Merchant & Mills. I'm really looking forward to building some wardrobe basics that I can style in a vintage way, mainly inspired by women artists and 1930's workwear. I'm aiming to sew this lovely skirt as well as I can and at a very leisurely pace! Let's see how I do!

Brilliant just Brilliant, I'm a big fan of M&M BUT THANKYOU 😊 for mentioning the needle size you used 😊 it is definitely worth mentioning... PS ..ive paused the video at the needle size mentioned to write this comment....I can't wait to press the play button to follow you through your make 😊

Omg love it so much!!! So excited to see you make this skirt so quickly after your workwear capsule video… I know I personally struggle with having these amazing ideas but then not finding the time, etc to get to them. You seem SO HAPPY with your new wardrobe piece, and I absolutely love the black and white outfit at the end, so precious. love your videos, as always, thank you for sharing!

Brilliant Tara - really a joyous project. Just wondering if helpful to try ironing in interfacing to fabric & sewing Tailors Tacks before cutting out much easier. Little bits of left over ironed on interfacing can be used in button hole projects etc , so no waste. Love the capsule wardrobe. Happy sewing!!

The skirt is very pretty and suits you. If the left sided "bump" bothers you, unpicking the waistband and making the pleats a tad bit less deep might do the trick? The colour is particularly nice.
