Sewing My Wedding Dress 🪡｜Part 5/5｜Finishing Touches, Wedding Veil, & the Big Day!｜DIY Wedding Dress

Here it is at last! After months and countless hours of preparation, I am so happy to present to you today the ultimate video in this series on how I made my wedding dress! In this final video, I present the finishing touches, how I created a bustle and a wrist loop for the train of the skirt, how I made my wedding veil, and then I model it finished! I am also very pleased to share with you a short clip of video footage from our wedding that I put together with great care 💕
Please don’t hesitate if you have any further questions about this project, I’m thinking of creating one last video on my practical tips for future brides or wedding dressmakers!

I’m 55 and I know I’m terribly sentimental, this brought tears to my eyes. So brave to commit to this project, it really is all or nothing! My daughter wants me to make her wedding dress.. maybe it’s possible after all! ❤

Oh my gosh Sarah your dress is AMAZING! And I am so pleased you got it finished in time, I was worried for you there for a bit so I can’t imagine how you felt! It truly is gorgeous, the crossover at the back, the draping on the front, the ethereal tulle, I am in absolute awe. I’m also rather glad I didn’t sew when I got married as I think I too would have wanted to make the dress and put a lot of pressure on myself. I'm sure filming and editing this series was also a huge undertaking, so congratulations on that achievement as well. Thank you so much for sharing the experience. I've loved following along, and I remain in awe of your skill and perseverance. Also, you've convinced me never to attempt to work with tulle. This was so much fun! Gosh, the ending part made me tear up. Your wedding was so pretty and you guys look so happy. I'm soooo tempted to sew my own dress. Beautiful looks stunning on you in reguards to the pleats did u just put some odd stitches here and there to stitch them down I've been doing my daughters prom dress and found that I can get the pleats as o want them with it on the form but wen I remove it to sew it they shift
