@@komalkaushal7167 see so their was a ferry called sewol ferry and the students of danwon high school went for a camping thing in jeju island . While returning to SK the incident happened . Actually the captain took a turn and cause it had illegal amount of cargo and stuffs the ferry lost its balance and due to it it began to sink . We are always told if a ship is sinking we should reach the highest point right but the captain told them to be in their place and due to it when the ship tilted more than 60 also they couldn't move out . They followed the instructions and all poor souls thought SK government will come to help them but they were late . Most important thing as we know crew members should leave last right if you have seen titanic you can understand but that shitty captain was the first to leave the ship abandoning all his passengers . And as a fact more than 300 people died and most were teenager . You can understand how horrible it was for all those survivers . It was one of the worst maritime disasters in SK .

Jiseong Moon (0:30) Jiseong was the fourth of five sisters. Her family had lived in Jeju Island, but they moved away when Jiseong was 11. She was just like her name suggest, intelligent for her age. She had a faith in god, and was a part of a church choir when she lived in Jeju. Jiseong also cared for those around her, being more cheerful and energetic. She was also beautiful and slender, she had even received an offer from an agency to become a model, but she had other dreams. Jiseong's ultimate dream was to become an airline stewardess, but she needed to achieve fluency in English to fulfill her dream. Jiseong was excited for the field trip. She gets to visit her old home and meet her childhood friends! During the sinking, Jiseong called her father, and he explained her in detail how to get to the deck. He also advised her to wrap her phone in plastic, so it doesn't get damaged. Seongbin Park (0:32) Seongbin lived with her parents and one older sister. Seongbin was bubbly, energetic and bright since childhood, and she had beautiful eyes, that closed whenever she would laugh. She also put others before her, and would always bring leftover foods to her friends during lunchtime or lend her shoes to them. Her sister was abroad in the US in 2014, but Seongbin kept asking her to recommend her good match books. She studied hard since elementary school, and received scholarships in return. She was determinated to keep her place at top 1, unlike her best friend Jiyoon Kim from class 2, who had bad grades, but was trying her best to improve. Seongbin had 8 things she wanted to do, and she carried it around to remind her daily. 1. Take a mock test! 2. Save $100 per year! 3. Move your body! 4. Seriously, move it. Stay active! 5. Don't be careless! 6. Work hard all the way! 7. Love myself more! 8. Follow all of these objectives! Seongbin's ultimate dream was to become an attorney. She originally wanted to be a judge, but her sister wanted to become a nurse, and hospitals don't have space for courtrooms. When her body was recovered, she was found from a lobby with her best friend, Jiyoon Kim. Unfortunately, they both had drowned. Soyoung Woo (0:33) Soyoung was the youngest child, only having one older brother. She was energetic but blunt young woman, and had gained the nickname Uso from her brother. She loved him dearly, and used to write him letters when it was his birthday, and to her other family members as well. She spent her free time at her house with her friends, especially with her best friend Youngkyeong Kim, usually Soyoung's mother cooked some food for them. Soyoung also had a boyfriend whom she loved very much, but he escaped the ferry without her. Soyoung's dream was to become an illustrator, because she loved drawing and writing, and had talent in both. Miji Yu (0:35) Miji was the eldest child, and resembled her mother since birth. She loved asking questions like 'what are clouds? Why are tissues called tissues?' Miji spent her school breaks volunteering for charities in the Phillipines. She had a strong sense of responsibility, and was chosen as the class leader during her second year. She aspired to become a surgeon. Miji was helping her classmates out during the sinking along with Yeeun Kim. Thanks to their efforts, class 1 had the most survivors. Unfortunately, when Miji was guiding two students out, they didn't get a chance to pull her to the deck, when saw her being washed down the hallway by the incoming water. She was hailed as a hero, a young girl who sacrificed herself for others. Suyeon Lee (0:37) Suyeon was an only child. She cared for her parents, and she would always pick her dad up from work after Suyeon finished hagwon, and he'd sometimes wait for her at the school gate. She was good at studying, and collected cute pencils to help her with studying. Suyeon had the power to greet people without words, just with her brigh smile. She was also a bright person and a good dancer. She loved the k-pop groups Infinite and Blickby. If their songs were played at a store, she'd pull off smooth dance moves. Suyeon had a talent for studying foreign languages, but wanted to become a Korean teacher instead. She wanted to study at Seoul National University's College of Education after finishing high school. Yeonhwa Lee (0:39) Yeonhwa lived with her parents and one younger brother. She was very lively and energetic, and cared for her parents. If she wasn't doing housework, she was either dancing or doing nail art. Yeonhwa had loved painting her nails from a young age, and she even painted her mother's and friends' nails from time to time. At school, she had a lot of friends and she was like a celebrity to them. She was also a part of the dance club. Yeonhwa had a boyfriend, Seungmuk Kang from class 4, but they had kept their relationship a secret from their parents. Yeonhwa also wanted to know what chocolate tastes like, but her allergies prevented her from eating it. Yeonhwa's ultimate dream was to make a career out of painting nails. Gahyeon Jeong (0:41) Gahyeon was the youngest of three siblings. They were often called ''The three musketeers'' because they were so close. Being the youngest, Gahyeon received a lot of love from both her parents and siblings alike, and she gave it back. She was a kind, and bright young woman, who gained the nickname ''old man'' from her mother because Gahyeon was very mature for her age. Her best friend was Soyoung Woo from the same class. They both were fans of the k-pop groups Beast and EXO, and they only sang Beast's song when they were at the karaoke. The two were inseperatable, they went camping to the woods, to amusement parks, to buffets..but they loved karaoke more. Gahyeon's ultimate dream was to become a kindergarten teacher, because she loved working with kids. Eunhwa Jo (0:43) Eunhwa had a very close relationship with her mother. She had given her the nickname 'gumball'. They talked everywhere, even when her mother was taking a shower, Eunhwa just stood there, talking to her. They never went a day without telling each other that they loved them. Her older brother was often ill, and he had to go trough a huge surgery after being born, and her mother was relieved that she had a healthy baby for once. Eunhwa was friends with Seungee Shin from class 3. After a wait that can only be described as hellish, her remains were found and recovered on the May of 2017. She was nothing but bones and teeth. She was indentified trough dental records, and was returned to her family on September. Goeun Han (0:44) Goeun was the eldest of two siblings. She was strong and had good physique, because she carried heavy camera equitment around. She loved phtography and taking videos so much that she formed a video club with her friends Minji Kim, Minhee Kim, Gahyeon Jeong, Haein Go, and Sukyeong Kim, all from the same class. Her best friend was Kyeongmi Oh from class 9, and they'd spent their free time together playing games. Goeun's other best friend was her mother, whom she fooled around with. According to her, Goeun didn't want to become an adult, and stay as a teenager forever. Goeun's ultimate dream was to become a camera director for the Seoul Broadcasting Department. Sojeong Kang (0:46) Sujeong quiet and sensitive, but good-natured and she had pretty heart. She had talent in drawing and designing clothes. She was good with water colors escpecially. She was friends with Chaewon Gil from the same class. Sujeong also had a boyfriend, Cheolmin Yang from class 7, her and his parents live at peace knowing their children reunited in heaven. Her dream was to become a wedding dress designer, and she wished she'd be the most beautiful pride in the world. Wooyoung Kang (0:48) Wooyoung was the youngest child, living with her older siblings, mother, father and grandmother. She often watched soccer games with her dad, and imitated his fashion style. Wooyoung spent her weekends volunteering at retirement homes or cleaning up the streets. She was very affectionate, thoughtful and sweet to others. Before the field trip, her classmates held her a surprise birthday party, where they went to a singer Tahyun's concert. Her best friends were Chaewon Gil and Jeongeun Park from the same class, she was also close with her other classmates. She was the closest to Kim Kisoo from class 7, whom she had a sibling-like relationship to, but many knew it was something more than just a friendship. Wooyoung dreamed of becoming a soldier, because she was good at running, and in P.E in general.

Chaewon Gil (0:49) Chaewon was the eldest child, only having one younger brother named Kilchae. She often babysat him, and he often asked her ''I don't understand why older sisters are so hated.'' There was also someone else she tried taking the best care of, her mother. She was ill, and Chaewon tried her best to take care of her, and also take care of her father. She was so caring towards them that her mother was concerned that Chaewon might neglect herself, but that wasn't the case. Chaewon was described as a bright and cheerful young woman, who loved to laugh. She had many friends, such as Sujeong Kang and Wooyoung Kang, who adored her, and she adored them back. Many teachers also liked her, because she was so cheerful and optimistic. Chaewon loved Disney movies and her favorite songs were Let It Go and Under The Sea. She cared about her appearence a lot, especially what she was wearing. Chaewon's ultimate dream was to become a kindergarten teacher. According to survivors, Chaewon remained optimistic all the way to the end. She reassured her friends that rescue is coming and tried to cheer them up. ''This event will just remain as a bad memory! We will live!'' Minji Kim (0:52) Minji had a bright smile her parents would never forget. She was cheerful and strong, cooking the best foods in her homeroom. Minji loved to go bowling, singing and talking about enviorment issues. Her boyfriend was Seonwoo Kim from class 8, and she was friends with Aejin Jeong, who survived the disaster. (She is the girl in the 'meeting a Sewol survivor video) Minji's ultimate dream was to become a painter. Minji had injured her finger pretty badly after a dodgeball match. She had thought of skipping the trip, but decided to go anyway. The last contact she had was when she called her parents, excited about the firework show. Her explaining the details in a cheerful voice remains their last memory of her. Sojeong Kim (0:55) Sojeong was the eldest child, and had a younger brother. She spent the weekdays studying, and on the weekends, she did housework or took care of her little brother. She eventually taught him how to do housework, so she only had to look after him. Sojeong loved books, and was often moved to tears by either books or movies. She even said ''I like to see beautiful scenery. Without anything beautiful, this world would be a terrible place.'' There was one thing she loved more than books, manga. Her favorites were Kuroko no Basket, Durara and Black Butler, and she made it clear at the cartoon club at school. Sojeong dreamed of studying in Japan and making her own manga series, or studying arts in Dongukk University and becoming an animator. ¨Sujeong Kim (0:56) Sujeong had one older sister and one younger sister. Her older sister remembers well how fast Sujeong always ran home, or when she was younger, she was facisinated by the loudspeakers at the nearby park. She was often called 'son' by her father, because she liked martial arts, wrestling and excercising in general. She even went to contests, winning most of the time. Sujeong had a sense of justice, and couldn't stand it when justice wasn't served, and she made it clear. Despite this, she was said to be the mom of the school, taking care of everyone. As Sujeong grew older, she became interested in filmmaking, and joined the brodcasting club at school. She was also a part of a teather group, where she directed the plays. Her dream was to become a video journalist. Sujeong didn't want to wake her parents up, so she developed a habit of leaving home without making a sound. It also applied to when she left for the trip, she left without a word. Juhee Kim (0:58) Juhee was her family's only child. She had a younger brother, but Juhee's mother didn't want to raise him and picked Juhee instead. Because of her being the only child, Juhee got used to being alone, and taking care of herself. She never cried and was a cheerful, bright person. If there's one thing her mother regrets, it's not spending that much time with her. She didn't hear any words from her daughter during the trip. Juhee loved making paper canes, and often gave them to her mother. Juhee's dream was to get a scholarship and work for Samsung. She wanted to become an ad designer. The day before the trip, Juhee was putting on makeup because the school didn't allow it but allowed it on the trip. Her mother caught her in the act and punished her. Looking back, she regrets punishing Juhee for such a trivial thing. Jiyoon Kim (1:00) Jiyoon was the middle child of her family. She always listened to her parents, helped them with housework, and barely asked for trending clothing, she'd just respond ''I don't need it''. This was because her younger brothers begged for the new clothes instead. Her mother often told her ''Dream all you want and do your best, but sometimes you have to give up accept it and move on'', which eventually became Jiyoon's motto. Her best friend was Seongbin Park from class 1. Her mother's favorite quote from her was ''Have big dreams and do your best. If things don't go your way, you should accept it and move on.'' She didn't have good grades, but she still tried working hard to get into Yonsei University, and become a English teacher. When the divers went inside the ferry, they found her from the 5th floor lobby. She wasn't alone, she was with her best friend Seongbin Park. Unfortunately, they both had drowned. Subin Nam (1:02) Not much is known about Subin. She wanted to study at Sungkyunkwan University and become a historian. Subin had shown signs of being sick, and she had vomited just before leaving, but she attended the field trip anyway. If she really was ill, it might've affected her escaping. After her death, Sungkyunkwan university gifted her a honor student ID. Jihyun Nam (1:03) Jihyun was the youngest child of her family. She had loved dancing from a young age, and danced along to the music her mother played her. As she grew up, she fell in love with ballad songs and got more interested in ballet. Jihyun was described as cheerful and bright girl with a good sense of humor by her peers. She had won an election to become the class president, and she loved to boast about it. Jihyun's favorite subject was Korean history, and she loved the old stories from Koreans. Jihyun's dream was to become a prodcaster and marry a famous model. The night before the sinking, Jihyun's father saw the ferry disapearing into the fog in his dream. He felt omnious. Watching the news that day must've been crushing. Jeongeun Park (1:06) Jeongeun was the first grandchild of her family. She was born during a cold day, and she grew up healthy, with good resistance towards cold enviorments. Even if she was physically weaker than others, she was emotionally more mature and much more optimistic. She was very cheerful and bubbly person. Jeongeun had many friends, and Wooyoung Kang and Juah Kim perished with her. They left her notes, asking her weird questions, like what would she do if she was a boy. Jeongeun had a habit of stacking her books up and taking a nap behind them. She was a huge fan of the kpop group EXO. Jeongeun's ultimate dream was to become a brodcaster or a radio host. Juhee Park (1:08) Juhee lived with her parents, three older siblings and dog named Naruto. She attended church often, and had a deep faith in god. She could self-manage well and spent her free time either at the church or studying. She hated it when others bought clothes to her, because she wanted books instead. Juhee was described as kind, a little reserved and very mature. She still had typical teenage girl traits, such as having a huge crush on a boy a from the senior class, but her love remained unrequited. Juhee's dream was to make a lot of money so she could help her neighbours, who were in financial trouble and other people as well. Hyeseon Park (1:09) Hyeseon was born with very poor eyesight. Glasses helped, but not much. She was described as a short and thin, like a bird. She was calm, but really shy. She would hide behind her mother when she was younger, but she grew out of it. Hyeseon had a close relationship with her mom, and she absolutely loved the rice her mother cooked for her. Hyeseon dreamed of becoming a model, but changed her mind and wanted to study at Dongguk University in the Department of Korean Language and Literature and become a Korean teacher after graduating. The last her mother saw of Hyeseon was her dragging her suitcase behind her, disapearing from her eyesight. Hyeseon had called her mother during the sinking. ''Mom, everything is shaking. I want a life jacket...'' Her mother responded with ''Hold your friend's hand and wait for the teacher.'' She was worried Hyeseon would lose her glasses, making escaping impossible. Minutes later, she received a text message. ''I love you''

Jina Song (1:11) Jina was born physically weak, and had to go trough a heart surgery at the age of six months. She was strong and recovered slowly, but surely. To her mother, Jina was irreplacable. She loved to give hugs to her, go shopping with her and play badminton at the nearby park. Her mother wasn't wealthy, but she didn't mind if she didn't get the new trendy clothes. Jina's friends were Ara Kim and Dain Pyeon. Jina's ultimate dream was to become a webtoon artist. Her last text was with her mother, right before boarding. Her mother sent her a text saying she should have fun and make a lot of memories, but she received no answer. The next day when she heard about the sinking, she rushed to Jindo, calling out to Jina, receiving no response. Onyu Yang (1:13) Onyu was the eldest of four siblings. She took care of her younger siblings and had a strong responsibility over her family, and stayed strong when her family kept moving from Incheon to Soul and to Ansan, then again to Incheon, Soul and Ansan. She had learned to play the piano by herself since she was young, and became quite talented. She was also very faithful and attended church often. Onyu was excited when she was chosen as the class leader during the second year. Her ultimate dream was to become a psychotherapist. Onyu was excited about the trip, because she had thoughts of moving to Jeju when she grows up. During the sinking, she texted her father. ''Hey dad, this is Onyu. I'll be praying for you, please stay calm.'' After that she focused on getting to the deck. She made it out, but felt guilty for leaving her friends inside, and led them and other students she saw to the deck. Thanks to her efforts, at least 6 lives were saved. Yujeong Oh (1:14) Yujeong was the eldest child of her family. Since she was young, she loved writing letters to her parents, grandparents and friends. She also developed a love for baking, because her parents ran a small bakery. Yujeong always bringed sweets for her friends Dayoon Heo, Minji Kim, Sujeong Kang and Jina Song, all from the same class. Yujeong's ultimate dream was to open her own bakery, because it combined her two passions, writing and baking. Minji Yoon (1:16) Minji was the eldest child to old parents, who had difficulty having children. So when she was born, her parents protected her and made sure she was loved. Minji had many colorful animal dolls by her bed. She would tell them ''I love you'' every night, and considered them her children. Minji also loved the k-pop group BEAST. She never asked for new clothes and didn't want to be a burden to her parents. Minji's ultimate dream was to become a kindergarten teacher. Sol Yoon (1:19) Sol lived with her parents, two sisters, and a dog named shark. She had a really close relationship with her father, and her nickname ''Yippeum'' came from him, others called her ''Sol''. Sol loved her father's cooking, especially his egg rolls. Her dad still sets up the table like Sol was there, but the seat remains empty. Sol had a lot of friends because of her bright personality, these friends were Hyeseon Park, Juhee Kim, Jiah Jeong, Seowoo Jo, and Jiyoon Kim. Sol spent her free time studying at home, because her family couldn't afford a hagwon. Their house was small, but Sol never complained about having to share a room with her sister. Her father wanted her to become a member of the air force, but Sol had other plans. She wanted to become a police officer, because she thought the uniforms looked cool and she couldn't stand injustice. Her father thought the job might be too dangerous for her, and insisted she'd become a soldier. The morning of April 15th, Sol is busy preaparing egg rolls for her father. She didn't have time to talk, and left to the port. After her death, her parents received a police uniform which had 'Sol Yoon' written on the nametag. Hyekyeong Lee (1:20) Hyekyeong was the youngest child of her family. She was focused and ambitious since a young age. She wasn't greedy, and out of the 50 000 won she was given, she took only 30 000won. Hyekeong also couldn't afford the bus, so she walked 30 minutes to school. She loved makeup, and applied it on her mother and sometimes even her coach. Hyekyeong dreamed of attending either Myongji Junior College or Sungshin Women's University, and become a makeup artist after graduating. She had preapared for a beauty contest that was supposed to take place after the field trip. When her parents heared about the sinking, they rushed to Jindo and looked for her name on the survivors list. Her name was on the list, and they immediately went looking for her. The auhtorities told that this Hyekyeong was a girl in a red sweatsuit, but when her parents took a look at her, it wasn't Hyekyeong, it was somebody else. Hyekyeong appeared in her sister's dream after the sinking ''I'm watching you all from Heaven!'' She had exclaimed. Hayoung Jeon (1:22) Hayoung liked dancing since elementary school. She danced alone, in groups, and in events held by the school or by her local church. Hayoung loved to make her friends Onyu Yang, Saeyoung Han, Jihyun Nam and Sujeong Kang (all from the same class) laugh by imitating a character Georg Porg. Hayoung took care of her sister, because her mother was busy with work. She never skipped school and always did her homework, even if meant not sleeping. Hayoung's dream was to help people trough UNICEF and all other similar organizations. She desperately wanted to end world hunger. During the sinking, Hanyoung called her mother for the last time. Her last words were just simple 'I love you'. Jiah Jeong (1:24) Jiah's parents divorced when she was young. She lived with her father, and she wrote letters to her mother trough her computer. Jiah loved writing, and she loved writing to her mother more. Jiah often cried when reading them, because she missed her. Jiah's dream was to become a museum curator. Seowoo Jo (1:26) Seowoo was introverted and quiet, and didn't have many friends, but she had her mother and younger brother to keep her company. Her mother was really worried about her lack of friends, but Seowoo assured her it was fine. She spent her free time listening to music (mostly rap because it was her favorite genre), singing, watching movies with her mom, or practicing sign language. Seowoo's dream was to become a flight attendant. Seowoo wanted to go to the trip so she could meet new people. At the port before boarding, her mother handed her a polaroid camera. She hugged her mom at the port, and her last words for her were 'I love you' in sign language. -''I love you too'' -''I love you so much more!'' Seonwoo replied and went to board the ferry. Saeyoung Han (1:28) Saeyoung was her family's oldest child, only having a brother two years younger than him. She was introverted and soft. If she wasn't fangirling over the k-pop group B.A.P or spending time with her friends, she was either painting or practicing Mandarin. Saeyoung's dream was to become a painter, but since she couldn't afford it, she changed her mind and wanted to become a Mandarin teacher instead. Her cell phone was recovered, and her parents found pictures that she had taken during the sinking. Her mother kept these pictures to herself. After the sinking, she had sent this a text to a relative of hers. She begged them to alert help to her, as she was trapped in the dining room with other students. They could hear the windows breaking. It's very likely she didn't drown, and instead lived in an airpocket with Juhee Kim, Danbi Lee, Dahye Lee, Sojin Lee and Hansol Lee. Then either the door broke down and drowned them, they died of hypothermia or just starved. Dayoon Heo (1:32) Dayoon lived with her parents, one sister and a dog named Kambi. Dayoon loved both of her parents, but she liked her father more. She'd wait for him at the train station after he got off from work, and she packed one of his hats with her because she thought it looked cool. She had a deep faith in god since childhood and was attending church often, and working the church's daycare for multicultural families' children. Dayoon was introverted, sweet and gentle. As a result, she didn't have many friends and spent her time with Kambi. Different from her sister and the polar opposite of her boyfriend Jongyoung Hong from class 6. They were childhood friends, and became inseperatable. They walked to school together, studied together and went to the same church. Her mother picked him up so she could drive them to the port together. She had good relationship with her sister, and they often went shopping together. Dayoon's ultimate dream was to become a kindergarten teacher. Her remains were recovered during the May of 2017. She was nothing but bones. They were indentified as hers on May. Yurim Heo (1:34) Yurim was bright, talkative and loved to laugh. She had a boyfriend, and her best friend was Lee Hyekyeong from the same class. She walked arm to arm with her. Yurim also loved social media, shopping and keeping up with her appearence. She was very intellectual from the times she spent at the school's science club. She was working on a project named Polaris, it was never finished. Yurim had no idea what to do with life, but she wanted to be a mother and a wife to someone.

Dambi Kim (1:36) Dambi was always an affectionate, deep and caring person. She cared for her brother the most, and she lived with him and their grandparents, and with her cat Corogi. Corogi always waited outside the door for Dambi to arrive. After the sinking, the cat waited and waited.. Dambi had a sense of justice since she was young. She often stood up for those who were bullied, and dreamed of becoming a lawyer to defend people. She also wanted to keep her services cheap, because not everyone could afford lawyers. Doeon Kim (1:38) Doeon had a good relationship to her mother. They wore matching rings, like they were engaged, and this was seen as odd by others. Her last words to her mom were 'I love you'. She had hugged her, and boarded the ferry with her friends (all three of them survived). Doeon played the piano well, and had a talent for writing poetry, even winning contests! She had also been active at the school drama club during the first year, and received an award at Youth Theathre Festival. She was a polite and respectful person, especially towards her teachers, because she dreamed of becoming one herself. She always said she was going to be a good teacher, because she was good at making others laugh. According to survivors, Doeon was trapped during the sinking, and couldn't escape even if she wanted. Bitnara Kim (1:39) Not much is known about Bitnara. She was the eldest child and the only daughter, and a huge fan of the actor Joo Woo. Her best friend was Haehwa Kim from class 9. She was an active member at the school's drama club, and she became close with Doeon Kim. She had her last call with her father at 9:41, just after water started coming in. ''Dad, I'm scared. The water is already at my stomach! Get me out of here!'' The call was cut short, and she sent a similar text message one minute later to her mother. ''Mom, pray for me'' Her father rushed to Jindo and anxionsly waited for her daughter. After a few days passed and she had not returned, he jumped to the sea and tried to go look for her. Soyeon Kim (1:41) Soyeon grew up as an only child, without a mother. She lost her when she was 4, and his father worked on multiple jobs to support Soyeon. Soyeon spent her time with him, and at the karaoke with her friends Bitnara Kim and Jisook Baek from the same class, or studying. Her favorite food was steamed fish with rice. Soyeon also was active at church, and volunteered at a charity that helped single parents with raising kids. She had also tried writing books, and they were published after her death. Soyeon's dream was to become a middle school teacher, that's why she studied hard. During the sinking, she was texting her dad. ''Dad, can you get me out of here?'' she sent. Following that, she sends ''The water is already here''. That remains her last text message. At Jindo, screaming could be heard. Her fahter was screaming her name. He had lost his only daughter, the one and only. He gained the nickname 'crybaby' because he didn't really do much else for the next week. Sukyeong Kim (1:43) Sukyeong was the middle child of her family. She cared for her parents, and gave them coupons during their anniversaries. If used, she'd give them a massage or do all the housework for the day. Sukyeong also told her friends to wish her mother happy birthday, as a result, she got a lot of text messages on her birthday. Sukyeong cared, but she was quiet and wanted to help people. She aspired to work for an international aid company. Her last text message was to her mother. It was sent at 8:46, before the sinking. ''I'm doing well.'' Siyeon Kim (1:45) Siyeon was born small, as the first child of her family, later getting younger sisters. She had multiple nicknames ''Sesame'' ''Orange Fairy'' ''Sad Friend with a boyfriend'', just to name a few. Siyeon had a lot of friends, and she hung out with them at her house, and she used to date Junhyung Jang during her first year, but they broke up. She later got herself another boyfriend She loved playing the guitar, and felt proud when she could play songs without sheets. Siyeon's dream was to move to Jeju Island and grow a farm, while teaching music at a local school. She was excited about the trip, because she had never been in Jeju, and wanted to see what her future home looks like. Her last words were to her mother over a phone call. ''The rescue team is here. I'll call you after I'm rescued.'' Her cries during the call haunt her mother. When her body was retrieved, she had a tight grasp on her phone. Her phone's footage was restored and she had recorded one video during the sinking. She is seen with her friends, screaming at the tilting of the ferry. In the second video, she is comparing the tilt to a rollercoaster. Yeongeun Kim (1:47) Yeongeun was born to a Japanese mother and a Korean father. She was active at the TOP club at school, and was friends with Yejin Jeon, Yeseul Park and Suhee Choi, all from the same class. I was said the three envied her for her singing voice and dancing skills. Her favorite color was purple, and loved athletic aerobics. She had won a contest in that field. She often worked part-time at Banwol industrial complex, where she assembled phones. She wanted to raise money and buy a birthday gift to her mother. Yeongeun had her last call as the water was coming in. She had called her parents from her friend's phone and said ''Mom I'm sorry. Dad, I'm sorry too. Mom, I am really sorry, and I love you, really.'' Jooeun Kim (1:49) Jooeun was the youngest child of her family. Her older sister had asked for a younger brother, but still was close with her sister, Jooeun, often going out to eat or to movies with her. Joeeun was bright, and could take care of herself. She often bought the much cheaper things instead of the expensive ones. She was friends with Yejin Jeong and Jiyoon Park, both from the same class. Joeeun's dream was to become a designer.

Jiin Kim (1:51) Jiin Kim was her family's only child. Her mother devoted almost all of her time on Jiin, and loved her no matter what. Her best friend was Yoonmin Choi from the same class. Jiin was good at playing the piano, and dreamed of majoring in music in an university. The last words her mother heard from Jiin were her asking where her clothes were when she was packing. She heard no words from Jiin during the trip. Yeongran Park (1:52) Yeongran was the eldest of three sisters. Since she was young, she put her family first. She would take care of her mother if she felt ill, and babysat her sisters after school by cooking them snacks. At school Yeongran spent her time reading in the library or at the book club or spending time with her friends Jisook Baek, Sukyeong Kim and Seunghee Shin, all from the same class. They were often referred as the four musketeers. Yeongran's ultimate dream was to become a kindergarten teacher, because she learned to love taking care of kids when she babysat her siblings. During the sinking, Yeongran texted her mother at 9:47 am. ''The ferry is tilting'' Her mother panicked and called Yeongran. She answered, and she was in tears. ''It's scary!'' she yelled. The call was cut short and she sent her last text message at At 9:53 ''I love you'' Yeseul Park (1:54) Yeseul was the eldest of two sisters. She had a close relationship with both of them. Yeseul was described as bright and very optimistic. Yeseul had a talent for drawing, and she loved drawing high heeled shoes. Her ultimate dream was to become a designer. Her work was shown in exhibitions for two months after her death. Her death was very crushing for her family. Her sisters didn't show their sorrow to their mother, because she always cried when she heard the sound of the water running. Yeseul's phone was retrieved and the footage was restored. She had recorded one last video about half an hour before she died. She is seen in the hallway, lying down with a bunch of girls (Onyu Yang, Suhee Choi and Hyangmae Bae were regonised), laughing and joking around, completely unaware what is going to happen. Yeseul remains positive ''Let's meet after we survive! Let's live everyone!'' Five minutes before her death, Yeseul called her mother. After explaining the situation, her mother started crying, but Yeseul stayed calm. ''Don't cry, don't worry, I will be rescued'' were her last words Jiwoo Park (1:55) Jiwoo was the eldest child, only having one brother 10 years younger than her. She loved her little brother, but she grew close with her parents really late, when high school started. She loved chocolate cake, and being the leader of everything. She had it in her personality, but she didn't get to be the class president. Jiwoo was friends with Sukyeong Kim from the same class. Jiwoo's ultimate dream was to travel around the world, learn new languages and discover new cultures. Chaeyeon Park (2:07) Chaeyeon was the eldest of three sisters. When she was in elementary school, her parents divorced and she had to grow up without her mother. Chaeyeon had a good relationship with her dad, even though he called her a pig for eating too much. She walked with him when he left from work, and when they got home, Chaeyeon cooked him some ramen. To her father, she was irreplacable, and even seeing her picture after the sinking caused him to have a emotional breakdown. Chaeyeon's dream was to become a fashion designer, because she loved drawing clothes. Jiyoon Park (2:05) Jiyoon was mostly raised by her grandmother, because her parents were at work all day. She grew close with her, and they became inseperatable. Since childhood, Jiyoon had loved drawing, especially on a computer. She had a talent in drawing small details into the pictures. Jiyoon absolutely loved the singer Sihwan Park, and aspired to meet him, or at least have his autograph. Jiyoon's ultimate dream was to become a cartoonist. Jiyoon's grandmother was considering not letting Jiyoon go to the trip, but she changed her mind and let her go. During the sinking, Jiyoon called her. ''Grandma! Grandma! The boat is leaning to it's side. It's pretty dark in here but I'm holding to a railing. Grandma, I think I might die!'' Jiyoon tries to explain. Her grandmother hears the fear and desperation in her voice. The call was cut short. At 10:05, Jiyoon sent her last text. It was the letter d. It was the last thing she left to this world, but her grandma knew Jiyoon wanted to leave much more, but was not sure what. If you visit her grave, there is a note laying next to her grave. It was Sihwan Park's autograph. He heard Jiyoon's story, and tried to support her family to cope with her death. Jisook Baek (2:08) Jisook was the eldest child of her family, only having one younger brother. She had a good relationship with him, and they often watched cartoons together. Her best friend was her mother. Jisook was described as kind and understanding, she never asked for anything. Her ultimate dream was to become a police officer, so she could help people. During the sinking, she borrowed her friend's phone have one last call with her mother at 9:50am. ''If you go to the deck, they will rescue you.'' Her mother said to her before she hung up. Jisook decided to obey the stay in your cabins command instead. When her body was recovered, her mother noticed a wristwatch Jisook had wore during he sinking. It was still working, and her mother started using it herself. Seunghee Shin (2:10) Seunghee lived with her parents and a younger sister whom she had a one year age gap with. She studied well, but if she wasn't doing that, she was drawing or writing. She loved to write letters to her parents as well as to her friends Jisook Baek, Yeongran Park, Sukyeong Kim, and her best friend Yeseul Park all from the same class. Seunghee lived in the same apartment complex with Eunhwa Jo from class 1, and they often studied together, Seongbin Park from class 1 usually joined them. Seunghee's ultimate dream was to become a tax official. Before leaving for the trip. She had spent a week in Gangwon-do with her parents. It reimained their last trip together, because Seunghee boarded the Sewol ferry 4 days later. During the sinking, she had recorded a video, where she is seen laying on the ground, saying that she misses her mother. After she stopped recording, she texted her father. He told her to get to the deck where she will be rescued, but Seunghee replied ''The ferry is tilted, it's too dangerous to move now.'' When her body was recovered, her father weeped over her, ''You fool''. After her passing, her mother found a letter Seunghee had written for both of her parents. Yeeun Yu (2:12) Yeeun was a younger twin. She was different from her sister, but they looked similar. She was shy and curious, but broke out of her shell when she was performing at the stage. She attended a theatre hagwon, and they had a performance on the 23th of April. Yeeun was excited, and so was her fellow perfomers. They were waiting for Yeeun's return. She also had tickets for a musical she was supposed to attend on the 30th of April. She and also applied for a music hagwon before leaving for the trip. Her ultimate dream was to become an actress. During the sinking, Yeeun sent two texts: ''The ferry has tilted almost 90 degrees. I'm scared.'' An hour later. ''It's still tilted'' Hyewon Yu (2:13) Hyewon was the eldest of four siblings, two younger sisters and one brother. Her sisters also attended Danwon, but were a year below. She loved her father ver much, and texted him often to check if he is feeling good, because he worked so late. She also loved singing and dancing. Hyewon was a quiet person at home, and slept for over 12 hours during weekends, gaining the nickname 'turtle'. At school Hyewon was a leader, and had many friends. She taught them sports and geography by herself. Her best friend was Saeyoung Han. Hyewon loved celebrities and aspired to become one, or a brodcaster. During the sinking, she sent one text message to her family members. It was a simple ''I love you'', but she sent her sister ''I love you forever. I will never forget you.'' She loved the K-pop group Block B, and her favorite member was Zico. He attended her funeral, and sung a part of Hyewon's favorite song by him. Jimin Lee (2:15) Jimin was the middle child of three siblings. Jimin had a good relationship with both of her parents, always listening to her mom and letting her father went to her, even when he came home drunk. She loved the color orange since childhood and gained the nickname ''Orange Deokhoo''. She had orange pencil case, orange fan, orange everything. Jimin loved athletics and the manga 'One piece' and her favorite character was ace. Her password to every device was 0101 because it was the date of Ace's birthday. She had a lot of friends, and was the 'mom' of her friend group because she was so kind and caring. Jimin had worked part-time at a local factory so she could save up money and buy new sneakers and a new hoodie for the trip. Her ultimate dream was to become a soldier. Jimin had her last phone call with her mother. It was just an hour before boarding. ''Orange Deokhoo. You're wearing your seatbelt right? You know it's safe again? Follow the teacher's instructions and remember to take a lot of pictures ''Hahaha I'm sure it'll go well. We're going now.'' She boarded the ferry, feeling like a pirate from One Piece.
