CLIP DESCRIPTION:
After Big (Chris Noth) doesn't show at the wedding, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) hits and yells at him in the middle of the street.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The hit cable series Sex and the City catwalks its way onto the big screen in this feature-film continuation that fans all over have been clamoring for. Sarah Jessica Parker returns once again as Carrie Bradshaw, the style-maven journalist whose romantic exploits were the key focus of the show. Also reprising their roles are Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, with the series' executive producer Michael Patrick King taking on writing and directing duties. Several years have passed since viewers last saw Carrie and company, though she's still involved with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and completely consumed by her obsession for name-brand accessories. Meanwhile, Miranda is adjusting to married life and motherhood, Charlotte is still clinging to her dreams, and Samantha and handsome, steely eyed TV star Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) are now living together out in L.A. Of course, when the girls all come together, it's just like old times. Dreamgirls' Jennifer Hudson co-stars as Carrie's assistant.

That's nothing I once saw a hidious and heinous act that shocked every guy there in a state of frozen disbelief and caused every single female to become Charlotte on steroids - even the girliest girly girls with litteral MURDER in their eyes and I honestly thought for a second they were genuinely going to attack or try to kill him They formed what I can only describe as a living wall of women around the poor girl he devastated and humiliated She was crying screaming and howling all at the same time and even gasping for breath He didn't attack or even touch her He was her partner for three years Wanna know what he did? ⬇️ In front of her sisters and all her friends and their boyfriends and husband's - myself included ⬇️ He FAKE Proposed!!!!!😳😳😳

Miranda is ever the lawyer, putting space and making sure there is no liability, but the pure feminine RAGE of Charlotte in this scene is unforgettable. That hurried scuttle in the mermaid dress makes one think big should be thankful she didn't wear a gown with a thigh high slit, because he would have gotten murdered in the middle of the street....

IMO its the best bit of acting in the entire series. Every single time i watch this scene i can actually feel Carrie AND Charlotte's pain, and in the same breath, Charlotte makes me smile with that waddle back to the car. Its not often that an actor can make you cry and laugh almost simultaneously! It shows the level of talent these women truly have.

Den Brodie it’s not overacting. If you’ve watched all episodes of every season you’ll understand Charlottes character more. She’s the believer of the group so you can understand why it cut her up big time (pun intended) she always had faith in Carrie and Bigs relationship with hopes that would some day marry. So to see her react in so much anger and pain it makes perfect sense

I disagree. I think anyone who has ever had a broken heart would def. feel her pain in this scene. I watched verry little of the series but fell in love with the movie years ago, and even I feel like I cant breathe whenever I see this. I cry every time! As soon as Carrie hits Big with the flowers I tear up, and Charlotte always puts me over the edge with her "NO! NO!!!" Of course immediately after that Charlotte's little waddle back to the car makes me laugh, but thats through my tears. They act so well that it doesn't matter if you know who the characters are, or if you know any of their backstories. Anyone who isnt a sociopath would feel her pain in that moment. Heartache is universal.

After all this time 10 fucking years he still freaks out. He still humiliates her. And she still takes him back. I know the feeling. It sucks. I just don't understand how one measly little comment by Miranda broke him down so quickly. And how Carrie took out Bigs insecurities out on miranda. She should not have been blamed for Carrie and bigs breakup. I would be so embarrassed at myself if my partner walked out on me at the alter because of a passing comment made by my stressed out best friend, not angry at her

I think this might be even my most favourite scene in the whole movie. The music and the timing is perfect. And what really got me the chills was not only Carrie crying and Big realising that the messed up but Charlottes sheer anger at Big who was been constantly indirect or direct supported by her as THE match for Carrie and who is now doing the most terrible thing in the world to her. That was brilliant acting and I think everyone who likes this movie might be feeling the same way.

It's been years, but Kristin Davis moment in this scene still sticks with me. Charlotte, our Charlotte, who always believed in love and that love conquers all finally realizes that love is sometimes not enough. Sometimes people who love each other can hurt one another so much that it just has to stop. So her no is not just telling Big no, it’s also saying that love isn’t always the answer.

Srsly both Chuck x Blair and Carrie x Big ARE TOXIC RELATIONSHIT EPITOMIZED....and they are - very sadly - romanticized by teenage girls who ACTUALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT REAL LOVE IS. My mother has strictly forbidden me to date until I graduate from high school. I remember observing older women dolling up in fancy dresses and jewelry, walking around the street with their boyfriends and husbands. Then my female classmates starts obsessively talking about boys. It was only when I nearly died of a broken heart over someone who never loved ( I was only 18 ) did I realize the truth of love. Love is NEVER SUPPOSED TO HURT OR DECEIVE. It never was. FYI I am turning 20 in a few days and I am a second year uni student in London. I THANK MY MOTHER'S ACTIONS AND WISE WORDS TO THIS VERY DAY.

To those saying Kristen Davis's was over acting needs to get a grip. I've been in a situation where I had to literally protect my friend while she was getting her heart destroyed. The absolute rage and mamma bear instincts colliding at the same time leaves you exhausted afterwards. All you see is red when you are talking or looking at the piece of crap that hurt your friend. Charlette instead of physically dropping Big, she protected Carrie with dignity all the while letting Big know with that " NO, NO!" that his life is hanging in the balance lol. Over acting...please. You see how you act when you see your loved ones getting hurt. The adrenaline is nearly stroke inducing.

As for family and friends, the empathy is minimal.. people need to stand up for themselves, or get crushed. Expecting to be defended by someone else is embarrassing to me. I always felt embarrassed as a kid when my mom tried to defend me from something

Faby Ana it’s not that you expect people to stand up for you but when you do have real friends you know you have some backup when things get hard. I’ve literally stood in the middle of my friends getting hurt just because my best friends are like my sisters and you protect your family.

No offense but carrie has equal issues to big if not more issues. She's not a saint and never was especially with him. Half the rocky relationship she had with him was her fault. The writer of the show said in real life carrie and big would not have ended up together and the guy who plays big said carrie wasnt true to herself

Carrie kept on crawling back to Big and insisted on keeping him and his arrogant BS in her life about ten times and he still dragged his heels about marrying Carrie. Errors regarding the same guy - not error singular. It was like when was Carrie going to realise the truth about Big the way her friends had and whenever her friends tried to warn her she would get so offended and defensive. Sort of like you.....

This is the emotional equivalent of murder. The worst thing you could do to a person. To humiliate and betray them in front of everyone they know is absolutely unforgivable. If you have doubts about getting married you need to voice them before the wedding day- it's too late then. Even if I suddenly realised I didn't want to marry someone I wouldn't have it in me to leave them at the altar; I'd have to go through with it and figure out what to do later. Rather than put them through the pain of what Big does to Carrie. I never liked her anyway, but any shred of respect I had died when she took him back after this.

I've never liked Carrie, and I know that I never could like her. The only reason I've really appreciated Sex and the City is because of the unconditional love that the other girls have expressed towards Carrie: Charlotte when she was getting married to Trey and found out Carrie was Big's mistress; Miranda when she forgave Carrie for seeing Big for lunch despite how much she knew he hurts her; and Samantha for not judging her when she first revealed she was sleeping with him. Basically, I'm saying that they shouldn't have to put up with her shit, and scenes like these are proof of that. But also that there are good people out there that would do anything for you. I'm just glad I wouldn't do anything stupid like that (to my knowledge haha) ;)

Carrie's cute, funny and very bearable but ONLY when Big is totally out of the picture but when she's there and still pining over that full of himself, self absorbed and arrogant Big who kept on showing Carrie that she was not a priority in his life then that's when I want to take her by the shoulders like a bear shaking a tree

Why would you marry someone you dont want to marry honey that isn’t being kind to them that is plain old selfish, pull them to the side and say I can’t do this dont make them go through an annulment or divorce because you didn’t have the dignity to be honest with them in the first place no one should be in a marriage where they are not wanted so don’t put them through that.

This scene was so touching and heartfelt! especially for fans who know how much he hurt her before, so relatable *sigh*. I like that they worked it out though but it was kind of unrealistic. Guys like him don't usually change, at least not with the same girl.

This is a really hard scene to watch after a breakup. I would give up so much to have a friend like Charlotte. I'm hysterical and I still find myself looking up this scene. I started watching from season 1 just because I caught this on tv. Going through a rough time can really be made easier by watching relatable shows. This is really the only one that has accurately portrayed the pain it feels like.

This scene makes me teary eyed every time. After all that Big and Carrie have gone through, he couldn't just get out of the car and go up the steps? No matter if there were a bunch of people there with glitz and glamour. That was one day... he could have sacrificed one day for her especially since it was her first time being married. What an ass.

Charlotte is the underrated character to me because if you remember in the last episode, she was the one who heard the voicemail from Big and answered the phone. Like she had total faith that it was like, fate. Her unfailing belief in love is one of the aspects that got Carrie to come home from Paris. She had a right to be angry too lol
