There is usually a double standard though. Some men will hate sex workers or wouldn’t date them but use their services, have affairs, etc If both partners see sex as intimate and sacred, I understand. Yeah, that is usually what this type of women say to blame shift. They want the man to look bad instead of them. What they do is not well regarded pretty much anywhere in any time in history. And there is a price to be paid for that, and they do not want to assume the consequences of their decisions, so they blame it on men. What a diverse group. Really enjoyed this discussion. Made me think about my own preconceived ideas about sex workers. Traditionally sex workers were seen as vulnerable or troubled and victims, this is outdated thinking as this group show very clearly. Not saying that doesn't apply to some people! Yeah, but it's also a bit of a self-selecting bias going on here. I live next to the red-light district in the capital of a European country where prostitution is legal, and the sex workers are nothing like these in the video by large. There are different categories of sex workers, of course, but those working the street, are almost always part of vulnerable groups (such as migrant women or people struggling with drug addiction) and you would never see them in these discussion rounds.

@@Kaniballoy yeah I guess you are right on this. There are different levels of sex workers and the ones in this discussion are not maybe typical. Maybe i need to take off my rose tinted spectacles! But i do stand by the fact that the sex worker industry has changed and attracts people from all walks of life now rather than it solely being people who are being taken advantage of in some way.

I don't see the problem as long as it's consensual from all parties involved (and of legal age). I live in Sweden where it's illegal to buy. The Swedish model assumes a woman selling sex has been coerced or is trafficked so legally speaking it's impossible to sell sex volunarily. However crossing the border into Denmark it's completely legal as long as you're 18+ and not trafficked. So naturally lots of Swedish people visit Denmark because it's a beautiful country. They have Legoland and stuff.

Traditionally sex was trade very early on and powerful without judgement. If we go all the way back in some tribes women were the shamanic healers who offered their services and were seen as priestess. It’s only when religion sought to take away the power implored through sex did it become shameful. I believe wholeheartedly that the judgements created have made it so the boundaries keep being pushed when actually sex used to be sacred and spiritual, no matter how many partners one had.

Really interesting! I work in the sex industry but as a photoshop retoucher so it's quite different... it's nice to watch interviews like this! Also the last thing they talked about is very important. I've seen many times models asking us to be removed from our websites because their family saw the content and it didn't go well... My bosses are nice people and they always remove it even if they are not obligated too, but I guess many owners of adult content wouldn't say agree to. But working with sex means you can get lonelier off-work, and that's just a draw-back that some people are willing to accept. I have to say that as someone who was raised in a traditional, Christian home but has since become a more progressive, non-Trumpist Christian. This was really interesting to watch, simply to understand the lives of people that I have never encountered before. I will be honest and say that I still disagree with the idea of doing this but it was interesting to learn that there are sex workers out there who actually love what they do! The way it was presented to me when I was growing up was that it was people being taken advantage of and people who didn't have a choice but to do it to be able to survive but watching this showed me that that wasn't true. I have to say that this was a really fascinating video and it made me subscribe to the channel to learn more about things that were lacking in my education growing up!

I work in health care specifically for adults with minor learning difficulties . So many of my patients would like to experience a sexual encounter . I went to school on a street where the sex workers are, downtown of a major city, and when I tell people about them, they're floored. Are there young pretty women? Of course. But two of the nicest sex workers - who helped me buy cigarettes - that I met was a black trans woman with a thick full beard along with her sparkly little dresses and red lipstick. Another was a white man in his 60-70s who wore floral print smocks and straw woven hats like a British grandma. There's a market for everything lol. They were obviously working like they were there everyday. They had clients. Some people want a thick beard and penis on a glam girl and some want a real life Mrs Doubtfire. It is what it is lol.

Society has seen sex work as demeaning and the people within it lacking morals in some way. Which is very far from the truth. I have seen so much change in my lifetime. It's still evolving and long may it continue.

Yeah I'm guessing the ones who've been trafficked into sex work, are being abused and coerced or have been turned into drug addicts by their pimps probably aren't in a position to reach out and do podcasts. There's a very strong selection bias going on here.

@@9teen9t4 I did not take it that way. It seems she just does not care that they do not talk and you should not judge her!! Maybe they always disagreed and hated on her so she got free from it. Just because her normal is not your normal does not mean anything other than you do not know her story.
