Really glad you spoke about this barakAllahu feek This is a topic that really hits me, and I've learned great lessons based on my experience- the fact that parents and children need to be educated.

My sister and I were sexually abused by our uncle- I didn't know that he did the same to her until it was all over. I was probably around 8 years old and only went ahead because I was promised an Art set (or the likes). From what I remember, I knew it wasn't right because we're always taught to cover our private parts- but that's probably all I knew of it. For that reason, I didn't even tell my parents about it because I thought it was my fault. Don't be fooled parents! The abuse didn't only happen once. I remember it very explicitly and feel sick even now that I'm an adult. It really does scar an individual. Be careful who you let in the house and who you allow to baby sit your children, they are your responsibility.

Someone finally talking about things our society ignored so much.

We need to expose these people and protect our children. Let's be vigilant and attentive. May Allah protect us and our children. This sort of abuse is so damaging and evil. These people are filthy and deserve no cover

Best tools are open communication with your child at a young age so they come immediately to tell you things, also teaching children at a young age their body safety and lastly don't trust anyone with you're child alone.

This is so true! And within the family unit there will be enablers that allow this to continue due to the relation with the perpetrator. That's why parents I urge you as me and my siblings still deal with the aftermath of this even till this day! The triggers I have on a daily basis seeing my children, I flashback and the memories make life hard.... believe your children, teach them physical boundaries, allow them to come to you, trust them fully and be there for them no matter who you lose. They only have you (after Allah swt) Fear your Lord and stand up to this. It destroys lives. Only those who have been sexually abused know that they count down the days till they meet their lord. Life is hard to enjoy after such a damaged childhood.

Love you brother for speaking out and speaking the truth. Other imams and sheikhs are saying to tolerate the abuse then forgive your father for sexual abuse! There are contradictory and irresponsible messages given online by sheikhs and imams! Please correct and oust those corrupt imams and sheikhs who are protecting the abusers! 🙏

I grew up in Pakistan. As a young boy, strangers would be trying to sexually abuse me on a regular basis. Its a widespread thing in Pakistan.
