It was time for a little update on the SF Forester budget drift build. In this update, I go over what's been done to the car so far, and what the future plans for it are.
The point of this build is to build something fun, something a little different, and something that's not going to take forever or break the bank.

This is so sweet. I have an 01 S-Turbo and dream of putting the older front and rear clip on - simpler and less fussy than the facelift. (and Glass headlamps that don't get UV Damage!) That bumper looks great. My fun Foz mod is a Yaris Mk1 rear wiper - looks more aero :)

I had a 2010 Forester for 10 years up until I traded it for my 2015 Frontier. I miss it sometimes. Great little SUV.

Yeah, that was the first thing I did. The rear shock towers on these cars are notorious for failure due to rust. Luckily this car has lived in West and South Texas its whole life. Upon inspection, everything looks very clean and rust free.

Hey bro , how did you install your spoiler ? Im having a very hard time looking for a template

I just measured the studs on the spoiler and found center. Then found center on the car, and made some temporary marks. After that I had a friend hold the spoiler on those marks and I just made sure it looked right. Once I was reasonably sure, I drilled the holes and mounted it.

Yes please show how you did the bumper I have a jdm Sf5 sti and had to hack the bumper to install a front mount intercooler on it

Forester looks great compared to how you got it. Looking forward to more updates on the D21 as well. On a side note, I'm not sure if your camera stabilization is failing or maybe you added warp stabilization a little high on post but the video seemed very shaky, specially side to side. Just a heads up

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I actually ended buying a DJI OM4 to help fix that issue. I have no idea why the footage is coming out so shaky. I'm working on it, I promise.

@@Inner_Sanctum Calibration might off then. That's what happens to my gimbal if it's not calibrated right. They are a bit of a pain. Might want to check on the settings and turn up the motor power if you can. It might be struggling with the weight of the phone or camera.

@@FlakeGarage I just bought the gimbal and haven't used it yet. As luck would have it, video stabilization was turned off in advanced settings after an update. So what you're seeing is my blood sugar issues and zero stability. Lmao

Yeah, I’m starting over with another SF Forester. This one had too many chassis issues to feel comfortable with, especially the rear strut towers and frame rails. Also, I didn’t show enough about the modifications with this car. I’d like a do over with a completely different car.

@@darklight8034 hey, I'm right there with you on nomenclature. I originally called it a wagon myself. However, it is 100% an SUV by definition. You're welcome to see for yourself homie. Just type in 2000 Subaru Forester on Google and see how it is literally described everywhere. I was surprised too. Also, on a side note, a wagon or hatchback typically implies there is a coupe or sedan version of the vehicle [not always, but mostly]. The Forester has no such counterpart.
