What a match, the invincible Samurai Sword versus the unbreakable Chinese Shield. Best match by far of this year so far. Only Malaysian Open Final, Asian Games R16 Ginting vs Momota and China Open Final last month have comparable shot qualities and consistency. But those matches either didn't go into 3 sets or are not as dramatic in terms of the build-up before the match. The thing is, going in the match, Chen Long just won his first title of this year in France, beating Momota along the way. And they have met like ten times by now, yet never went in full length of the match despite their h2h record shows that they are very close. This is not like Lin-Lee rivalry where Lin dominates the h2h, and the fact Chen and Momota play with exactly opposite styles just makes it more tantalizing. I would argue this match truly brought out ALL the skills in badminton, and therefore is more valuable than the previous matches I mentioned where both players are playing attacking style games ( LCW, Ginting, Momota). Salutes to Momota who shows the world once again he is the best in the world at the moment, and to Chen Long who demonstrates he is still the ace for the Chinese National team, and he still is undoubtedly a top player in the world. To be honest, I am certain tomorrow's final is gonna be underwhelming compared to this one. That's how good this match is!

I couldnt decide who to root for in this match. Both Chen Long and Momota are my all time favorites. Amazing match, one of the best imo.

Glad to see Chen Long is back playing at his level as one of the best in the world. Congrats to Momota for pulling through in the end when it really mattered, hope to see more like this thru Tokyo 2020

A match with 2 players with similar patient play styles.They both were equal almost the whole game until Kento Momota up his game and increased the pace with more offensive shots with perfect accuracy.Chen Long is known for his strong legs and formidable footwork and Kento Momota is known for his following up footwork.What a S class match betwwen these two players.Good Job!

Chen Long made too much mistakes at the very end.....I like both players, both so skilled and has great sportsmanship. Congrats Momota.

I like Xia Xuanze as a coach, I think he helps increasing CL performance with his tactics. In recent Lin Dan' tournaments which LD has been eliminated, I didn't see him coach LD. Maybe LD rejected his coaching, however I still like Xia Xuanze as LD's coach. Remember few years ago?

Clash of the titans ! Many people believe Ginting or Axelsen ll be the threat for Momota but i say that one is Chen Long ! Axelsen lost almost everytime he met Momota and Ginting is really inconsistent
