Huang Yaqion seems to have a back injury and it may have hurt her for some time and caused some poor performance in recent tournaments. I wish that it would heal soon.

Marten, you sound like a fool whenever you say that they know how to play Yaqiong at the net. The other players keep sending the shuttlecock to Siwei and avoid engaging Yaqiong at the net at all cost. She is too good and lethal at the net.

Zheng is the weak point. The last time i watched this Huang/Zheng play (which was the Olympic final), Zheng cost 20 points with his errors. Frustating really.

This format is absolute nuts. The 1st placed team in the group should play the 2nd place team in the other group etc, not the same group again.

It was redrawed. So it does not matter which group were they in. This is how the draw came out

Every time I see Zheng/Huang’s matches, they told me how crucial opening few points of each game are. 3rd game Japanese pair failed to catch up with their opponent due to the big gap after opening rallies.

I myself use the same racket that he has before, the Yonex Duora Z Strike and I absolutely love it!. Watanabe is popular so it is not suprise that big brand wants to sponsor him.

@@proftang.8636 Japan National Team allows their player to have sponsor outside of Yonex. They can have multiple sponsors, not just Yonex. Okuhara has sponsor from Mizuno, she has Mizuno racket.

Feel sorry for Watanabe. Watanabe has been improving so much by at least 3x than last year. However, Arisa Higashino really needs to step up her game. Huang Yaqiong seals the front and middle court so well - something Arisa needs to step up. Watanabe is the player to watch in 2020. He does so well in both categories of MD and XD and skills are getting much superior and strategic day by day. Zheng Siwei while being very superior in attacking, Watanabe has shown what it takes to beat them in the group stage - Arisa needs to be really solid at the front for that case. Had Watanabe been paired with Huang Yaqiong, Zheng Siwei wouldn't stand a chance pairing with Arisa. It's a huge task for Watanabe for covering the majority of the court coverage. Well done Watanabe despite not making to the final.

@@ryanang1734 lol...He's indeed exhausted one way or another - but he still played brilliantly for his role. He covered the court whole lot more than Zheng Siwei. Many crucial points missed by Higashino while she was at front. Huang Yaqiong demonstrated well what it takes to be a great front-court player.

@@ChyeHeng17 、Zheng is just too powerful for the Japanese pair. The pair which is more powerful has a bigger chance to win in an important game. Because the skill could be affected psychologically, but the power will not.

@@zhi7656 nahh....If he's too powerful in physical raw power. They wouldn't have lost convincingly in the group stage. Zheng didn't win the World Championship without Huang Yaqiong either. It's Huang Yaqiong enabled Zheng Siwei to plays his A game. In this exact comparison, Arisa Higashino has not done as good job as Huang in the front and middle court department. Anyway, we will see. There's a reason why Zheng Siwei has been trying to play men's doubels but couldn't even break into quarter final or even made it to the men's doubles department.

Watanabe made more unforced errors than Higashino. When she was at her best moments in the match, Higashino was the best of all four players. She just needs to develop a more consistent high-performance level.

Ehh, if they badly wanted to be separated all the way to the finals, they could have just won the group instead of losing to the Japanese during the round robin stage. The winners of each block don't get to face each other at the semis.

Boy, Zheng sure seems to not care about having a legal serve. How many times did I see his racket almost level to the ground, and above his waist? It's like he wasn't even concerned about what his racket was doing, just casual, like there's no rules about it.

mungkin tkt ga lolos fase grup, krn itung²an nya jika glo menang 2x, ziwei menang 2x, yuta 2x, diantara mrk ada yg gagal, dan itu resiko jg. contohnya sprt CTC, wlupun 2x menang tetep ga lolos. nyesekkkk
