One crazy thing to note is all of Omega Ken’s crazy kicks are punishable ON HIT by all frame 1 command grabs

You can quick rise all command grabs in omega so grapplers just suck in an engine level

@@shury4260 apparently t.hawk is good, but that's more to do with the rest of his kit than the command grabs.

@@shury4260 hugo is also pretty good since he got a DP, a parry, and you still can't quickstand SPD for some reason.

Zangief just wasn't very good in SF4 until Ultra where he was the single biggest benefactor of Red Focus. Then Omega doesn't have Red Focus and it screws him even further than that.

A few things that I noticed that weren't covered: you can link out of lk tatsu, and you can cancel into tatsu from some jump normals

I used to go over to my friends house and play SF4AE all the time with them, so seeing all these changes, like the hadouken animation change is absolutely mind blowing to me

Doing J.Roundhouse > Target combo > light dp into shippu jinra after a throw leads to an instant stun state. If you manage to land it.

Dude, Ken's articulation and which syllables he chooses to stress is so fucking weird, that I just now realized, over a decade later, that he was saying "Try this on for size!" and "It's over!" I thought he was just saying more Japanese words like Shoryuken or Hadoken, I didn't even know that was fucking English language until right now.

@kollie79 thats true but when he tweeted that he was no longer the voice, he said "I tried my best to be epithetic to people on all sides but I must be myself no matter what and continue on my own journey" which makes it sound like there was a bit of a disagreement from Capcom. He has some controversial takes so maybe Capcom wanted to distance themselves from him all together but tbf that is just speculation, just kind of a weird thing for Reuben to say is all. I guess we'll know if thats the case or not if Dante ever gets recasted too. But for now you could chalk it up him maybe thinking he was recast for political or disagreement reasons even though he wasn't maybe? Idk, weird situation

It's only in SF4 Omega Mode which was the last update to SF4. It was done by a different team than regular SF4 and this team just decided to go hogwild and experiment with every character. Most are fun divergent "What if?" variations but some became prototypes for how characters would play in SF5. Biggest example is Omega Dee Jay being the template for SF5 Nash. I think Omega Ken's angled fireballs lead to the idea of his arcing Tatsu in 5.

I kind of wish they kept his kick fireball. It’s awesome they made his tatsu useful in 5, since Ken is known for his kicks. I think the kick fireball would’ve just fit the character better. Just not sure how that would fit in the lore

@@shishinonaito I think Rashid's kick projectile looks more similar to Omega Ken's fireball than Lucia's. But, yeah, well observed. It may have inspired Lucia's projectiles as well.
