Man zangief is OP this patch lmao, he’s placing in everything

Hmm... I wonder why Mena didn't play much Zangief last patch? I pretty much remember him using exclusively Luke and Blanka. It's almost character selection matters at the highest level...

@@thomasromano9239 most people agree that Blanka is very strong in this game. Problem X has also performed very well since he switched to Blanka. Certain characters are just more competively viable in this game its just how it works. I don't think we would see Mena have the same results if he switched to a character like Honda or Manon

Lol I couldn't have put it any better myself. It's like he's trolling you but it's so lethal.

He does this "buffering" motion a few times but never buffers into anything. When he "buffers" it he is too far to hit spd on anything but a whiffed move that makes guile move foward or like a drive rush. He also likes to buffer down back down back or down forward down forward which doesnt as easily roll into an actual SPD like back down forward would. I think what we might actually be seeing is him tapping his directions on a hitbox which makes inputs look like this. You can be somewhat more precise and quick and consistent with hitbox which is why people are using it.

i think it blocked it because it was a kick but couldnt counter because it wasnt a grounded kick

Guile did his upside down kick against gief's kick counter...but because guild's kick isn't grounded, the followup attack didn't trigger

He is overtuned. Capcom decided to overtune him instead of rework and fix him so he matches their new game systems. Now hes more viable and not the worst character in the game but also its based on pure damage and meter gain instead of having a more usable kit with viable combos and super cancels.
