I'm very curious to see how this compares to the current polymer lineup canik has, as well as how it compares to a steel body pistol, like a cz, or a 1911.

This gun is basically what I've been waiting for though I don't really need a competition setup. I feel like if I just wait on a steel compact they will come out with it before long. If they put the same beavertail-area design on a steel TP9 SF as they have on the Mete, give the gun a 4.5in barrel, the small warren fiber front sight and optic cut, and sent it out with the aluminum flat trigger it would be like the God carry for me. 1911 A2 or 2011 grips are too big to me. Something like a 92FS feels great but I can't change the front sight. Other steel guns are too expensive for what they offer, or are perpetually sold out. A CZ is nice but I prefer a Canik trigger enough to own both. Eventually I decided if I could just get the Warren sights I have on my TP9 SF Elite and put them on my Mete SFX then it would be my all around favorite shooter. An all metal version would be King. The only thing I don't care for in the Rival is all the aggressive cuts. It's just way more than necessary, but I can sort of understand it because when anyone talks about how they prefer Walther they are often talking about aggressive slide cuts like on the PDP.

Make a compact version !! I need one asap

I love your guns. Are you ever going to make a left handed holster? Including a holster is a great idea, but five Caniks later and I can't even trade the useless (to me as a lefty) right handed holster for a left-handed one.

Too many cuts...looks silly. I'm waiting for a Mete DA carry model.why did u stop with the DA pistols. I prefer to carry double action . MY other issue I have with canik is the grip. It needs side panels to fill out the grip. The rounded edge rectangle is just uncomfortable. Still I like canik over other plastic frame pistols.

Looks amazing! Chrome sounds good on paper but wonder if shooting outdoors in the day might prove to be blinding as the slide catches sunlight that redirects into the shooters eyes?
