Antarctica, a blizzard, nine school kids stranded in a shack at the very bottom of the world, left to question the nature of power and the power of nature as the limits of their courage are pushed into uncharted waters.
That’s the story behind “Shack”, a Junior Impact Production which made it’s stage debut at Toowoomba’s Armitage Centre recently.
I sat down for a chat with director Nicky Haeusler, assistant director Billie Riley and cast members Jay Cook and Eliza Kinnibugh about George Kemp’s play and why being a part of this production for the young cast is about so much more than something to do over the school holidays.
