The War Within is introducing a new level of power through a system called Hero Talents. Blizzard has been releasing the first iterations of these talent trees and today in this video, we are going to dissect the Shado-Pan Hero Talent for the Brewmaster Monk. Let's dive in!

Pretty sure by “uncontrolled” it just means enemies under a hard CC. So like a paralysis, imprison, frost trap or polymorph.

If its base health it would scale very nicely. If not that would be bad. A major issue with these two talent reveals is we have no idea wtf they are doing to our talents. Monks trees need major rework and that alone could drastically change how all of these talents work.

That's also why I am trying to not be too critical of the tree since there is always the possibility of the rework, even if it's minor.

As a monk main...I hate this tree. You know it's BAD when multiple content creators have had to do math in an attempt to sort out how it actually works. And worse, it just falls the fantasy of the Shado-pan. I'm madge.

i think what they mean by uncontrolled is like hexed, poly, or like paralyse, but everything else doesnt, count and given the way those break easily when they are in the pack i dont see it being a huge hit, and i dont see it being a huge problem, or at least i hope that is all it means.

I would assume injured means when the screen flashes red if that setting is on

i cant help it bit i still feel like monks get like 1/4 developing time of what palas get... always the same. It will probably work, maybe its even strong idk but it feels a bot lame compared to what others got

uncontrolled means any npc, dont you think ? like players and pets doesnt fit the "uncontrolled" cause there is someone controlling them kekw

I would assume, that it stating "max health" is just bad wording and what they intended for it to say is more like "base max health". That would make the talent design completely fine and not impacted by external max health increases/decreases.

Most likely it'll be static max health like you said. Hopefully a rewording on Blizzards end will clarify

Mastery's effect is increased by 25%. So the effect of your mastery will be increased by 25% not your actual mastery. Seems lackluster either way.

Just reading the first node turned me off from the whole tree lol. Who thought this was a good idea? Both functions of this mechanic are super annoying to play around.
