@@Mikkuo17 its because it is playing the album live on top of their electronic-pad triggered drum kit etc....listen to the first song chorus, there's pre recorded backups vox playing over them, and the solos? there's a guitar playing harmonies but not whats on the stage..he's playing one lead, there's two playing plus a rhythm track. it's obvious as f...k --it's still a good band and all but it's considered pretty cheat-ey among most legit dudes

it is a recording ON TOP of the electronic triggered kick drum and single guitar lead etc (you know what backing tracks are? Muse uses them, NIN uses them, Dimmu Borgir too, who they kinda rip off a little in a good way), and thats why this sounds like them kinda...see the laptop? you can hear that dudes other guitar tracks from the record sometimes (not all the time, same w/the back up chorus vox in the first song) but not all, just in a lot of parts, they have it cued up (to a metronome actually)
@GaaaageE
@GaaaageE 4 жыл бұрын
Dennis SR it’s not cheating at all. Unless you plan to have a choir/orchestra life as well as someone adding all the effects, a backing track is the most efficient way to go. A ton of bands use them to give the full experience at a show.

jeez. new favorite sound, can't go a day without listening to SOI, am very fascinated with the Melancholy album, i actually have an entire Spotify playlist dedicated to SOI, called "The Breathing But Breathless", I know it's not much...but it is to me. shadow of intent has got me closer to getting myself back together, heavy music has helped me in general. i fell apart real bad a few years back and am still recovering. just lost myself i guess, couldn't even look in the mirror. i didn't recognize myself. i still don't honestly, but its so much better. lamb of god got me into shadow of intent. my love for heavy music began from LOG, frontmen like Randy Blythe have inspired me to realize I don't have to care what other people think. just be your best self. just awesome. I've had the song Melancholy on repeat for days. loving all the albums so far. GREAT WORK GUYS. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME. heaviest drums I've heard in a while. would literally 'gasm in my chasm for a few more lamb of god covers Shadow of intent style, maybe Walk with me in hell, Ruin, resurrection man, the faded line idk the possibilities are endless. stay heavy!

@Dracula yeah, thank you! I've come very very far...its a miracle i'm even alive if im being completely honest. Although i wont get into full details as it isn't that important in youtube comments lol but i will say to everyone who has repeatedly made a fool of themselves, hurt people, been addicted to drugs, lost their way, homeless, you name it. Whatever it may be...just know that you are special to me...even if i don't know you. There is a way out, and its not suicide. I wish for everyone who is struggling to find peace, and to realize that there are alot of good people out there...possibly including themselves as a good person. Ive met alot of people who hate themselves so bad. Life is too short for that. Life is much more beautiful than we realize. Have a great day! Peace Also to SOI: You as a band are literally keeping me motivated, im not going to sugarcoat it, ive never came across a band that has completely swept me off my feet. I don't know what it is, but i love your damn music. Keep it up. Seriously. Ya'll are amazing👏

Unbelievable mix. I have been seeing death metal shows for 16 years and it's the same story every time. Bass is WAY too loud, sound guy decides to be lazy and turn the kick drum up which obliterates any hope of hearing riffs or anything else. This is the kind of live mix every technical death metal band needs.
@matin2825
@matin2825 3 жыл бұрын
Agreed It's technical deathcore though
@anomalyLG
@anomalyLG 3 жыл бұрын
@@matin2825 there is no such thing as deathcore. Calling anything "core" is a marketing scheme made up by the industry to make it more accessible and marketable to dumb kids that aren't in it for the music, but are in it for the trend/fashion instead. Notice how none of those genres ever last?
@matin2825
@matin2825 3 жыл бұрын
@@anomalyLG ehm, nah. Metalcore is metal, screams/growls and singing melodic elements. Same with death. Deathmetal is growls only to fit the heavy music. Deathcore is when there are high screams and more variety, such as for example a refrain. That's what I at least think, you stoned old ass boomer.
@anomalyLG
@anomalyLG 3 жыл бұрын
@@matin2825 I'm sorry you're this delusional. You are trying to define entire subgenres by vocal styles? Opeth had clean vocals in the mid 90s. So that's metalcore now? And high vocals have existed in extreme metal since the beginning. Black metal ring a bell? Core does not exist. Metalcore was a marketing ploy in the mid 2000s to try to break bands like Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage into the mainstream under the guise of a new genre for kids that were afraid to admit they liked melodic death metal (which is what all of that shit really was). When deathcore dies out (which is already is in the process of) you will be scrambling to the next trend because you're not into the music. You're into labeling genres. I assume you're pretty young but you will eventually get it. Good luck.
