*SHADOW OF MORDOR PLOT SUMMARY FOR THOSE WHO ARE CONFUSED:* Sauron wanted to forge 19 rings, 3 for the elves, 7 for dwarves, 9 for humans. These are called the Rings of Power. Sauron's plan is to give all these rings to their respectful races so that he could forge the One Ring (same one that appears in the hobbit and lord of the rings), which controls all the Rings of Power and their wielders, effectively giving him control over all of these races. However, Sauron doesn't have the skill and experience required to forge the Rings of Power, so he journeyed to Erigon to find Celebrimbor, who is considered one of the greatest smiths of the second age. Disguised as a messenger, Sauron gave Celebrimbor the hammer and slowly corrupted and deceived him into making the 19 rings of power. After finishing the rings, Celebrimbor had a vision of Sauron forging the One Ring to control the Rings of Power which gives him control over humans, dwarves, and elves. Discovering of this betrayal, Celebrimbor rebelled against Sauron and fought him. He lost the battle, but Sauron didn't kill him because he needed Celebrimbor to refine the One Ring. So Sauron took Celebrimbor as captive and used his family as leverage to make Celebrimbor perfect the One Ring. Subsequently, Celebrimbor refined the ring and snatched the ring from Sauron and escaped. Celebrimbor then formed an army and declared war against Sauron to kill him and save his family from Sauron's captivity (events of the bright lord DLC). However, during the war Celebrimbor lost the ring to Sauron and lost his army. Sauron then captured Celebrimbor again and murdered his family in front of his eyes and hammered Celebrimbor's face in to death. From here on wards, the events will cover Talion's part of the plot. Talion is a captain at the black gate in mordor. The black hand of Sauron attacked the black gate and sacrificed Talion and his family to revive Celebrimbor (the reason for this is unclear. Some say that the black hand wanted Celebrimbor's powers to himself so that he could serve Sauron better, others say that the black hand was deceived by Celebrimbor himself into reviving him (which would shift the blame of the death of Talion's family to Celebrimbor) to plot revenge against Sauron and acquire the One Ring) Celebrimbor ends up merging with Talion, cursing him from death until he kills the one who sacrificed him (This is later revealed as bullshit that Celebrimbor used to convince Talion, but somehow Talion forgave Celebrimbor). Talion then brands mordor's warchiefs to raise an army and kill the black hand. Talion succeeds in killing him. He then convinced Celebrimbor that the battle is not over as Sauron's tyranny still isn't over. However, the final words spoken by Talion before the game ends, Talion says that "A time has come for a new Ring." with yellow glowed eyes (the same eye's that Uruks have when Sauron control's them in the Bright Lord DLC) possibly hinting that Sauron is in control of Talion, or that Talion has become corrupted and craves for a new Ring. Hope this cleared things up instead of causing even more confusion!

Fun fact, there are hints in Tolkein's books that Celebrimbor used to court Galadriel, and even loved her, but she inevitably chose the guy she was with in the movies. Which adds a whole other level to their dialogue, imo.

so... the final battle of this dlc is pretty much the playable version of that epic cutscene we saw in the main game of celembribor's memories where he fought sauron with a huge army right before sauron take back the ring and win..

Great game movie mate, I love the way you use cinematics, cut scenes and even some gameplay to help connect everything, it all has a very nice flow to it (doesn't seem as disjointed and choppy), I did however notice some screen tearing, not sure if it was just me, Thanks! :D

the problem witn such flashback-like storylines is that you know all along that nothing you do will matter in the end. like you know right from the start that even if you "win" youre somehow going to lose anyway, because the timeline is already set. so anything you do as celebrimbor is ultimately futile, you know sauron is going to take the ring anyway, so trying to defeat him feels pointless all along

Middle Earth Shadow Of Mordor is such an awesome game 🙂. Hearing Celebrimbors voice gives me goosebumps and Alastair Duncan did outstanding voice performance and the voice acting in this game is phenomenal 🙂. The Bright Lord campaign is alot of fun .

As much as I love your game movies, I think that it would've been better if also included the playthrough, not just the cutscenes. It's just my opinion, however, there is a lot of potential in the gameplays for a movie. Especially since the attacks and others are theater-worthy. 😊
