In the books, Raziel is so strong that even his voice desestebalizes Valentine, that can barely keeps standing....and Raziel killing Valentine after Clary making the ritual and the actual wish be hers, it is just awesome. But seeing Clary killing Valentine, each stab for her and Jocelyn and Jace and Jonathan is marvelous

While I liked that Raziel killed Valentine in the books, I do have to admit that he was a bit of an ex-machina. This scene definitely fit the progression of Clary’s character in the show and allowed for there to be an actual climactic battle between the series’ protagonist and antagonist. Good call on the show runners’ part.

I just hate how they ruined the dialogue man. In the book raziel properly let valentine know how evil he was. He even made "jokes" that valentine's classification of souled creatures was stricter than heavens. Then he let valentine know that heaven knew what he'd done to ithuriel. THEN valentine died, knowing that raziel himself knew he was a monster

When Clary stabs Valentine like 5 times or more you know her her love for Jace and her pain is real she wanted him to suffer to die slow and painfully like Jace did and wouldn’t stop stabbing Valentine until he was dead Don’t hate me or anything but this scene for me was satisfying to watch because Clary made Valentine suffer for all the pain he put her through

I love this scene not only do they have Anthony Head who played Giles from Buffy the vampire slayer :) as Raziel which is awesome, But Clary literally went for Valentine to stop him at all costs, him murdering Jace literally fuelled her fire ( Also she has no more blood family members left)

They turning my girl into an assassinating killer black widow type. That’s cool and all, but I hope they don’t forget who clary really is lol. Love to see her becoming a fully trained shadow hunter though ;)

I love this scene. Firstly, Valentine didn't want to kill the only child he had left ( Jonathan excluded), hence why he killed Jace, and because he thought Clary was less of a threat in stopping him. He is also consumed by hatred and a fanatic about achieving what he thinks is right, hence his willingness to sacrifice and get rid of anything in his way, including killing his daughter. Clary is not a cold blooded murderer, but after everything that happened to her (finding out her father is the most evil and feared shadowhunter, her world turning upside-down, finding out she's not a full human, the lies, what supposedly happened to her brother, her mom dying, etc...and then Jace dying), and the cause of it all is her father; she snapped and finally saw red. Those stabs were her releasing all her pain and wrath on the source of them. The look on her face when she's done is realizing that she just killed her own father and her last relative ( that she knows about), that it had to be done and she had to do it, how screwed up her family really is and lastly she's an orphan. 💔

I think this way of killing Valentine was better beacuse maybe if the angel Raziel had done it, it would not have had so much impact. I mean, in the books it was great but (from my perspective) it wouldn't be that great in the show.

You know whats funny? Valentine did have some hilarious moments like the "Worlds best Dad" cup and him casually making Spaghetti after having jace beat up. Yet no one made a video about it. Show makes it better than the books, D&D should have learned from this for their own Game of Thrones on the importance of Character development and story. Have Dragon Queen rule and Jon be the one to kill or at least sword fight with knight king.

The way Clary killed Valentine was anticlimactic. I mean Valentine is a better fighter. I think Clary should have used one of her rune to kill Valentine because that’s the only advantage she had (angelic arrow rune maybe? Just like Raziel killed Valentine in the book)

I love this scene but I wish they made it at least a bit more like what happens in the books like when valentine tells clary he can’t stand the sight of her. Edit: I think that’s what happened I haven’t read the books in a long time

What I liked though I think i commented before, in reality you MIGHT expect a bigger fight here some huge samurai-style showdown like Kill Bill and the House of Blue Leaves. No instead considering what happened and all that Valentine did, THIS was his just end: dead on the ground in the middle of nowhere, no witnesses no fanfare no one to revenge him.

So glad they canceled this! Look, I hate Valentine as much as the next guy and he deserved to be punished, but I love what happens in the book a lot more. He gets destroyed by his own hubris (asking anything from heaven) and that Clary defeats him through intellect and her ability to red runes. Also, I do not think that Valentine would have asked for the death of Shadowhunters---that was a Sebastian thing.

Mc LOVIN Well i mean. Clary could certainly kill Valentine... Plus why have Raziel end Valentine when the whole entire point of Clary's arc was to eventually face Valentine. It fits her story much more that she was the one to kill her father instead of an angel.

irina Irina I enjoyed it much more seeing Valentine die by Clary. While Raziel firing an arrow at Valentine made of fire is awesome and all, I think seeing Clary do it fit much more for her story, Valentines, and really the whole arc.

This is so so so wrong. I don't watch this stupid TV Show for it destroyed the essence of the book series. The movie wasn't quite the same as the book, but at least it kept the essence of it, and it had good actors. But this scene - I just wanted to see how they did it - was just wrong. This is NOT Clary. She would never do this. Also, it didn't happen this way in the book. It was much more meaningful in the book. This TV Series is bad.

The TV series aren't just bad, they are disgusting. The actors suck(except Matthew and Harry), the special effects suck and I just can't stand Clary. The movie was way better
