"I was wrong about you." That's what I've been waiting to hear Clary to tell Johnathon since beginning of season 3B. She's been stubbornly telling herself her brother is an evil monster like their father, she can't see he's gone through horrible life experience that twisted him up until she remembers the cries she heard from him as a child. They were connected even without the rune!

Minus the Johnathan 's problem of being unable to separate sibling love from being romantic lovers, Clary and Johnathon have the best story in the show. This scene is great as Clary talks about how her opinion toward her brother evolve from totally negative to mixed and caring about him.

The scene between the Clary and Johnathan is always sad and emotional for me, especially since Johnathan dies at the end of the book and he never had the choice to be not evil. But, I really hope in this tv series he won’t die and would have another chance where he can get rid of his evil blood and be good again.

Not really. Jonathan is more demon than human. Therefor he cant see the difference between familial love and desire. And in this clip Clary, despite being brainwashed by the rune, still stopped Jonathan before he actually kissed her. As for what the first reply is saying. No it doesnt happen. Sebastian kisses Clary in the books once, before they figure out he's her brother, and 2 books later he tries to rape her but then it doesnt happen, the two part ways after a fight breaks out, and then the dark war starts and Clary stabs Jonathan with a heavenly fire infused blade. So other than one kiss, and the attempted rape to show how messed up Sebastian really is, nothing happens. And Clary defenda herself from the attempted rape. She's not defenseless by any means. Hence why its attempt, but not actually happening. And like I said in the show, even brainwashed Clary is putting him in his place about incest. As for GoT. Its set in a medieval world. Its pointless to pretend like irl in the medieval times it wasnt common to marry your cousin or your aunt/uncle. Siblings and parent to child were viewed as incest in medieval times, and the books explain that in Westeros, uncle/niece aunt/nephew and cousin/cousin isnt considered incest for them, siblings and parents are. And Targaryens are so far inbred that theres honestly no saving grace there. Jaime and Cersei have been portrayed as nothing but repulsive since the beginning, and ended with even Jaime realising that. And yes, cousins and nephew aunt niece uncle IS incest. But there was a time in our history when it was common practice and people didnt think twice. The show/books is set in a time period similar to what it was like. Ergo you cant really apply modern day rules and logic to that time period.

Love the actual Cassandra Clare series and this alternative universe-like version of the show... But the comment section and it's fans ... I can see why it's cancelled. SMH. Each episode is nothing like the book (it's not supposed to be)...that's good. Except for character names it is written and shown as if it is a fan fiction series of the novels and that just seems to go over most of the fan bases heads. There is no comparison between the two because they're not meant to. And being "offended" over fan fiction is pathetic.

Has it occurred to anyone the rune is having some positive influence from Clary to Johnathan? For someone who's supposed to be evil he's not nothing but looking for a family sword and killing one shadowhunter who he honestly was a danger to his sister, and he restrains himself from killing Jace who killed him before because he knows Clary won't forgive him. Creepiness aside, he's being pretty decent and good brother to Clary.
