I was so excited to see Jonathan's back story and it was beautiful and sad and it was saddest when Clary heard his scream in her nightmares. I was crying at 4am when I finished the episode. The last scene between Jonathan & Clary was so heartbreaking. After it, I felt that my next video has to be about them and focusing on the heartbreaking moments.
Episode 17 turned out my favourite with many other episodes. It made me cry and smile and I got also some chills. Mostly I cried from that part when Jonathan started to scream and cry when Clary left him and to Malec moment at the end.
Next week is getting interesting! More dark Clary, Jonathan's wings, Asmodeus is back and the next episode is that Halloween episode! (which supposed to air on Halloween 2018 but 3B postponed and it's FF fault)

I cried through ALL of the flashbacks, the sketchbook scene and the last one. I love him so much and he didn't deserve what happened to him and Lilith can please die a slowly and painful death, the best way, her and Asmodeus tearing each other apart please! Now I watch your vid. And yes, it is my favorite Episode too, now. It will surely be a close call next episode, nearly separating them, but pulling Clary over just in time I think.. And I'm bawling my eyes out AGAIN, omg great job, I think I really can't handle seeing him die in the finale, nope 😭😭😭😭

I’ve seen that letter and read it what’s in the finale. It’s kind of Jace’s letter to Clary from book 3 but it’s different. The causes of letter, I think it has something to do with that scene where Clary is leaving Jace at the wedding. (It showed in the trailer)

I love Jonathan but I won't disregard the deaths he has caused because of that. Clary has been cold towards him, she is suppose to be the most human and compassionate out of all of the characters because of her mundane upbringing but she has yet to show it to her brother unless the rune is influencing her to do so. In my opinion Jonathan's actions in the show shouldn't warrant a hatred of that degree from Clary. There should be conflict in her eyes when she's with him not pure anger and disgust. I get why Jace would look at him that way but not Clary.

This episode is where we really see how Luke Baines is such a great actor, it made me remember the real Jonathan from the books, the one I had imagined, and the one I felt sorry for

Also I love how he portrays a sort of... emotional stuntness to Jonathan. Like he sways between psychopathic mastermind and a child, which Jonathan would be, as he was in isolation for basically his whole life. How he clings to Clary and his ideals, the way he says "you were supposed to be my princess". The way he snapped when he screamed "LET HER SPEAK" at Jace or when he yelled "SHUT YOUR MO-O-O-OUTH" at Lilith in Edom. Idk to me it feels like the perfect portrayal of Jonathan's lack of emotional control and maturity, due to his isolation and traumas. Luke does a stellar job at making Jonathan sound so desperate and vulnerable but at the same time he is able to make him look creepy, intimidating and calculating. Will might be the physical description of Jonathan of the books, but I think the two of their portrayals is what makes the adaptation of Jonathan perfect. But at the same time making him different from the Sebastian of the books. Sebastian rarely showed vulnerability and there were only slight hints that if Clary had stabbed him with Glorious instead of Jace, then there might've been enough of Jonathan left to survive. But by the time she reached him with phaesphoros, it was just a ghost left. Nothing more. The show's Jonathan feels more human to me. Which is ironic considering both the demon and angel blood, but in the portayal. He is more so the result of his upbringing here, and his traumas, than just his demon blood. Meanwhile in the books it seemed that if his demon blood was burnt away, Jonathan would've been instantly good. I REALLY dont want Jonathan to die in the show. But with how the story has to end for good... I dont think there's enough time to redeem him, even if he survives the heavenly fire.

Luke is such an amazing actor, and I've also been blessed with a liked tweet. I was always secretly a Jonathon/Sebastian fan because his storyline is so beautiful, damaged but beautiful and he's just super misunderstood. Luke plays him so well.

Amazing piece of editing! Love the way you used sequencing of scenes from their beginnings to the heartbreaking end where Clary walks away from Johnathon as he screams for her not to leave him! You laid out their storyline perfectly! We can't help but feel Johnathon's pain, and, even a bewilderment ,as to why Clary won't stay with him, even fight for him, after all he loves her , he's her brother! Loving these episodes, they just keep getting better and better! Congratulations , beautifully done!

I watched s1 and part of s2 because my friend LOVED this show and i tried, tried to hard to also like it. But just nope, it was not my cup of tea. But now i stumbled upon clary and jonathan and i WANT to watch the show just for these two. Loved the video, all those similar shot combined with clary walking away from him etc, wonderful sequence! Why is it so unfaair?!😭 when jace was in the dark side they did everything to save him and now that same thing happen to jon, all of them seems convince clary that he's a hopeless case given that jonathan has a demon blood cant they consider all the various factor that contributed to jonathan's behaviour?😭 you know what nevermind my heart's just breaking for jon and clary's sibling relationship if things werent fucked up from the start😭💔💔

AWESOME video 😉👌👏 I don't like how bad sad and sorry I feel for Jonathan. If Jocelyn hadn't kept the Shadow World from Clary then they could've figured out that her nightmares were messages to try to get her to save him and they could've gotten him away from Lilith's grasp. Who knows maybe then Jonathan could've actually had a chance at having a loving family and being good and a good brother. Yet again it was Valentine who started all of this, so... I guess these two siblings got the really crappy end of the stick. Still doesn't excuse what Jonathan has done vit still 🤷

I'm so sad for Jonathan, it's true that he deserved better. I can't hate him for as much as I want because he hurt my babies because he was never taught what is wrong and right and how to behave around other people. All he ever got was pain and misery even from his "Mother" Lilith. He doesn't even know that you shouldn't kiss your sister like that or be attracted to her because Lilith did some fucked up shit to him I'm sure.

This is my opinion: I felt like the show did amazing representing Clary’s and Jonathan’s sibling relationship. (From the book) The other relationships not so much. Especially since Valentine Hated Clary.

I don't even know who the true villain is , at first I thought ..... Wow! Jonathan shows no love to lilith , but then I saw what was really happening...... but like lilith is the queen demons.
