Was obsessed with this one senior year of high school. Forgot about it, came back one drunken night crying.

Low key shakeys best song. And still can’t listen to it anywhere else other than KZfaq 😅

FYI you might wanna check out shakeys bandcamp on feb 9th next year. His back catalogue, including this, usually goes on sale (name your price iirc) for a few days to commemorate Shakey Graves day.

[Verse 1] So you wake up thirty-five With a child and a bride In time, I know, you've seen it all before But not on you, no, no, no No, I don't believe it's true [Chorus:] You say, "I've lived enough of famous nights All by my lone" And I would like to be the dark And I would want her, too Oh, baby, maybe Once in a while [Verse 2] So don't tell me I'll tell you Oh yeah I've been here for a while Oh the world ain't free No, the world ain't free But it always pays to fake a smile Oh yeah so save your money and wake up broke Yeah worry late or worry no (no) Oh oh write it down in a big old book Throw it under the bed and never look [Chorus:] You say, "I've lived enough of famous nights All by my lone" And I would like to be the dark And I would want her, too Oh, baby, maybe Once in a while [Verse 3] 'Cause here in the big easy Yeah, I would like to be only here Once in a while From the bottom of the moon To the bottom of my glass It's not far Yeah, don't you see that I Have nothing better to do

The life is strange days are missed. This shakey sound is so good

There was a time when everything was okay, and we had good times. Laughed and smiled and loved. We listened to this on the way to your mom and dad's for Christmas, and it gave me a weird feeling. 4 years later after the fights and the screaming and the lies, it still gives me that same weird feeling. I don't miss you and I know my life is better without you, but that doesn't mean I can't mourn who you were and what we had, before it got bad.

it's on one of his secret albums. he releases all of them, as well as his regularly available albums, for "name your price" (free, if you so desire) on february 9, which is known as shakey graves day. they're only up for three days and then you've gotta wait another year to get another chance. they're also available through incredibly obscure peer to peer software, but not your typical torrent sites.

hey people of the comment section, i just wanted to share a message: we're part of a strange event, we call it nature or the universe but these are just words, the real thing is not a name. apparently there is something happening and we are a part of it. and also, we're in this event as humans, these kind of smart primates .. it's something very strange, nothing short of magic. i'm not sure what this all means but i think you need to know this.
