AIM, I have never seen UK news media show domestic burials or cremations. Funeral processions yes, but not the act of burial/cremations. Everyone is happy and intoxicated in their own world. No one wants to talk to each other. Everyone wants to talk within their group of friends and bitch about the "others". The day these people talk with the other side directly and on their own their business will stop.

Every time there's some person or some channel seeming to make sense, they come up with such absurd statements or comments that it shatters all expectations. I guess Kushal's comment against lock-down was even worst than Akhilesh's comment against vaccines. Akhilesh's comment was out of political interest, Kushal's comment was out of economical interest. However, it's worst because Kushal poses to be the enlightened being, reads one book per week I guess, sadly all gone to waste. I'm sick and tired of telling people that lock-downs are never about arresting the spread, it's only about arresting the rate of spread, so that the healthcare infra, whatever we have, isn't stretched too much beyond it's limits. I really want to ask Kushal what would have happened if all factories, shops, malls, cinemas etc would have been open, people forced to travel to their work places, over crowded trains plying as usual amidst the peak of 2nd wave. It might have been beneficial for Kushal, for it would have infected all vulnerables in one go and hence lesser possibility of a serious third wave and hence a possible smoother sailing of his business in future, but what about those who would have got infected? What about their families? How they would have received any treatment at all. We already saw how so many people succumbed to Oxygen crisis, just because of lack of infra and had nothing to do with Covid except for creating the demand, and all of it happened because States dilly-dallied with implementing lock-downs. Once lock-down was implemented, cases started dropping and situation started improving within a weeks time, and that too without any exception at any place. Kushal's comment on opposing lock-down sounds like those evil communist strategies of Lenin and Mao, when Lenin let millions of Russians die in Stalingrad just to protect his own interest and ego, or when Mao never spared a thought for the millions of Chinese who died in the ill-famous CCP famines because all that mattered to him was, again, his won ego and interests. People like Kushal, Sham, who claim to know about the Hindu philosophy, with the slightest of prick, their mask of being "knowledgeable" shatters. Hindu philosophy has three main Gods, Brahma (the creator), Vishnu (the keeper) and Shiva (the destroyer), and in all practical purposes I guess Shiva is the biggest celebrity of them all. One needs to think why. I agree the lock-down might have completely eroded the MSME, but destruction was never seen as "bad" because there's always regeneration, and I have no doubt the MSME would again regenerate, the local vada-pav vendors would again appear. It's a different matter that Kushal has the constraint that a particular vendor has to reappear again, possibly thinking about his own sustenance but things doesn't happen that way, at least not according to Hindu philosophy, and that's why all self-declared experts and preachers of Hindu philosophy spectacularly fail when things come upon themselves. It seems millennials have become so comfy in their cosy lifestyle that they have forgot the basic principle that "need(crisis) is the mother of invention". They know it, but they hate it when it applies to them. Destruction not only regenerates but also creates new and fresh, but people who have materialistic constraints, they can never get it in it's true sense. Unless one is ready to see beyond materialism, one may know a lot about Hindu philosophy, but they would never have any knowledge of it.
