The lead of "The Roots". They're a Philly band from the mid 90s. Yes an actual hiphop band that used real instruments. You might recognize some of the bandmates, Questlove, Scott Storch.

I'm black thoughts biggest fan . Love him. But I don't get this type of best freestyle ever stuff ??. Freestyle in itself is nonsense now . This isn't freestyle . This is black thought being black thought and just spitting fire . It's what he does . Super intelligent to switch it up with the beat etc. he kills any beat. But it's not a freestyle. It's just ten mins of written gold .

Tariq is from South Philly. Went to an Arts school for band and linked up with ?uestlove, drummer, and they started The Legendary Roots Crew. Gotta see them live. THOUGHT is the 🐐 of street rap. Check out some Aesop Rock. He's the 🐐 of the rap game. Your blood is blue (royal/"royalty") until oxygen hits it. Check your veins.
