In 2011 I was working in Pune on a road project in law college area. While during excavation of earth one rock mistakenly 🪨 was came on road. One person suddenly stopped his car, came out of the car and lifted that rock and kept out of the carriageway. He was Sharat Saxena.❤

Sharat Saxena is a versatile actor. Especially liked him played Dhanna in Kaala Patthar and Ronnie in Ghulam. He is an institution in himself. Very few actors have done films in multiple languages, and what a fitness at the age of 73.

His role as "Keechak" in B R Chopra's Mahabharat was fantastic From expressions to the look everything was damn perfect. This is how Keechak must have been. As a child watching Mahabharat, I was genuinely scared of him. And obviously role of Ronny in Ghulam. Simply iconic. Immediate change in facial expressions dealing with Aamir and his own goons 👌 But more iconic work is yet to come from Sharat Sahab I am sure of that..

Sharat Saxena is so underrated. He never got the main villain role, but side roles, though he was and still is such a fine actor. Ghu;lam did come and he could show his range in that. Unfortunately it came at a time when action films were winding down. But i know he did memorable cameos even after that. I loved his work in Bhagban (emotional) , Baadshah (comedy + action) too. But the small roles in the late 80's early 90s were also good.

Aamir doesnt get enough recognition for his suggestions... Ive heard in numerous interviews like this where actors/directors/trainers have thanked him for scouting them or suggesting their names for movies, etc. It plays a huge role in success of a movie. Right team that justifies scripts and justifies the hard work done by every member.

Most movies those who make, finance and distribute them risk their entire lifes work, reputation and wealth on each movie. One or two wrong calls they will be on the road deep in debt which they can never get out off. It's easy to talk about Bollywood like some sarkari or NGO organization whose job is to distribute goodies to nice people. Reality is it's their life's and money on line.

He is nice and seedhe aadmi hai. Film industry mein koi kisi par Daya nahin karta, jab Tak kisi ka kaam pura ho Raha hai. Your body, voice and fee was helpful to get those roles. Inspite proximity to people who run the industry, and novices and starsons getting award, they did not help you, which you rightly deserve for serving varying roles over the decades. Ronnie in Ghulam was a memorable role. Due to his impressive physique, Sharat Saxena mostly got negative roles. However, he was equally good in comic roles. In Mr. India, he was Amrish Puri's henchman alongside Ajit Vachchani. This was both negative & comic. Superb actor in character roles. He was a shagird of Dara Singh.

Not many would know but Mr. Saxena holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from the prestigious Jabalpur Engineering College, one of the top-100 tech schools in the country. He has obvious intellect, his physique is that of a heavyweight boxer, it's a shame Bollywood couldn't utilise his talent and make an action hero out of him.

Sharat sir has given a memorable performance as Ronnie in Ghulam. Iconic. That movie is part of my childhood and without Ronnie, it would be incomplete. What a brilliant performance and ease of switching mood when he beats one of his employees and then starts joking while washing his blood stained hands. One of the best villain roles of Bollywood, right up there with Katya and Mugambo.
