Isn't there a movie about Russian Snipers that were women? I remember a movie with the chick from the Mummy in it. I didn't know if that was based on a true story or not. I remember reading about women who dressed up like men to fight in the war as well. I don't think the women that are in the armed services now even go to war and if they do it's for relief effort and not too fight.

​@@antonlifer4449there are women in combat units in a couple of nations. Ukrainians notably have female snipers and heavy weapon crewman, although most of their female soldiers are still medics. But it's important to remember that in a full scale war, even support personal partake in combat. Artillery batteries are often raided, and medics carry guns for a reason. Honestly a fit woman who volunteered to fight is a better soldier than an unfit conscript male who doesn't want to be there. Endurance and morale are the most important factors of what makes a good rifleman. That's not to say that we should ease standards for women, but for most infantry roles they're fine. Might even be good for morale to have some women around. The distance from even platonic female contact is one of the hardest things mentally about being in the military.

It was actually worse. They had to wear pure sheepskin suits. You know those b3 flight jackets? Imagine if they came with pants and that's what bomber crews wore and they still felt cold! Moreover, the moisture from their breath would often cause the oxygen masks to freeze up so one guys job was to go around making sure everyone was conscious. Also, the attrition rates for bombers were horrific. You basically had no defense except for the ball turret and your fighert escorts.

No one would pass out in the time it takes to dump puke from your mask...

not only that but they had to eat specific meals to keep from having digestive issues at altitude.

Resistance movements had a lot of women. One of the most iconic figures of the 1956 uprising in Budapest was a 15 year old girl who died trying to drag a wounded comrade to safety. The problem is that media wants to portray women in roles that they don't usually serve in.

So here's the story. Covington catholic school sent kids on a field trip to Washington D.C. while there, they bought Maga hats. While they were there, there was demonstration/protest by native Americans. The "black Israelites were also there, stirring up trouble. Basically what happened is that the natives saw the kids in the Maga hats, and started harassing them. The media spun the story and edited the footage to look like the kids went up to the native guy to harass him. The famous image is of a kid in a Maga hat chuckling while a native guy plays a drum. Later, the full video was released and showed the exact opposite. But, until that happened the kids were fair game. They were dragged over the coals in the media, like adults. But people thought it was okay because they were wearing Maga hats. That's pretty much it. There was a defamation lawsuit, and CNN and a few other agencies settled out of court, but they lost the lawsuit against several other agencies. Nothing really came of it. There were no apologies, they just tried to act like the story never happened.

Like a scary Orwellian style revision of a historical moment for the sake of adding a powerful girl boss that never could have realistically existed in that setting or time. Plus adding a prosthetic arm or leg or whatever she had was just a virtue signal cherry on top I mean come on, they were really hitting the nail on the head there.
