Fun fact: nobody died in the group until Rick arrived. Shane was a good leader and got his throne taken from him. Sure, Fort Benning was overran by walkers but the CDC was doomed before they even got there. Shanes only downfall was being in love with Lori. For those who think Shane was wrong for killing Otis, you're right, but he did tell Otis leave him and take the supplies to Carl and Otis refused. Shane believe only one could make it back because of his hurt leg. When Rick confronted Shane about Otis, Rick ended up saying he would've done the same to save Carl. I also don't think Shane had any intention to kill Rick. Why would he draw it out, taunting him? He even put his gun up and told Rick to draw his weapon while taunting him. He wanted to die and to make Rick stronger. He couldn't live while another man father's his child (judith).

If only this happened that will make the show ten times better

Shane is the funniest character in the entire show he just turns evil for the sake of turning evil. Just because he accidentally chucked out Rick and Lori gets all sensitive about it later.

They should’ve left Shane’s ending open imo. You could’ve made it seem as if he died but imagine if they left it open ended and he got a spin off where hhe goes off on his own and forms his own group , then eventually meets up with Rick again years down the line .. would’ve been amazing

It’s funny that Rick killed Shane because of how he was trying to do things but in the end Shane was right all along and Rick became exactly what Shane was trying to get him to become.
