u2dva you're right. They're really bad about it in bowling. Big ole video board right above the lane that changes right in their approach. Seen lots of players back off because of it.

kepler240 The person controlling the camera angles should be sitting beside the commentator with both looking at a monitor ; that way they’re both in sync with one another

From the very first break, the 2 is not at the back, lol! Right after reviewing the rules to the audience!

Despite what Kevin said at the beginning, the 2 at the back was not a requirement at the Derby. The only rack ordering rule was no pattern racking.

You are, of course, correct. During the tournament, some players told me it was required. I have since confirmed that is not the case. Future videos will have the correct info. Sorry about that.

This is exactly why I don't play in BS tournaments. Rules are there for a reason and players should uphold those. If the director overrules that rule then to heck with the tournament and the director.

Break with 2 on tail then 2 when it is in contact with the 1. It's obvious.

Of 8 or 9 breaks from SVB, he was only able to hold the cue ball twice. I've noticed this year, he's been shooting from the quarter right of the table. Most of the time, he's got total control aside from kissing, but the majority on this match had a lot...a lot of topspin. I don't know if it was intentional, but I mean, he ran every break out. Just a different type of break from his usual breaking. Good ups!

One the few good observations about his break in this thread. I didn't watch the whole match, but it looked to me if he could see a ball, he made it.

Great job on the commentator. Seemingly this place doesn't have officials enforcing the rules. I think Shane was the only one to rack the 2 ball in the back once, on the 2nd rack.

Always looking at how Shane spins the ball effortless. He plays with that extension at the butt and it makes his cue heavier. If I would to draw the ball a length of a table I should shoot twice as hard. This way, he has much more control in the cue ball. I wonder what tip does he have on his shaft.

tourneys should never allow the breaker to rack his own balls - it has been shown many times that u can influence the break by racking ur own

First rack, FYI, unlucky is getting kicked in off the break, shooting a shot and deflecting off another in to the pocket is an error. I hate this!!! Lucky roll, bad roll, all bs. Wherever your cue ball goes is not luck except for the break. Own it!

Anybody notice that Shane's rack are turned a little anticlockwise? I believe it's on purpose, maks wing ball easier.

I believe that people who can't play pool worth a shit, constantly try to find reasons to shit on people who are good, to make themselves feel better. I believe this is on purpose, makes looking in the mirror easier.

Pro players consistently make that wing ball on the break. It's a matter of the proper position of the cue ball on the head string, speed (not too hard), and where the 1-ball is hit. Do a little research and you would see why. Oh, and I think SVB practices his break a few hours every day.

Jose Gutierrez - duuuuudddeee just watch this match kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gah3nruDvtCWgas.html ! He tries the same break but he fails to make the wing ball every time ! do you know why? because there is no gap between the balls. do you know what that means ? you still don’t get it!? I’ll tell you - he found a way to leave some gap between the the balls so the wing ball will always go in. Get it!? Do you?
