Imagine a world full of angry cruel heartless characters, taking their joy attacking our main characters, by either calling the cops on them, framing them, destroying their house, and the protagonist somehow forgives them after the undeserving redemption,with even their family turning on them. With the antagonist calling THEM the selfish one calling them the worst person ever. And you can always see this deep hurtful sadness in their eyes. Shane is just so miserable.
