Xu Wenwu plans to destroy the village after freeing his wife, and he imprisons his children and Katy in Slattery's cell when they object. Though Wenwu believes the path to Ta Lo only opens once a year, Morris knows how to navigate the maze but warns attempting to do would be fatal. After that, Xialing bursts out of a wall, revealing a tunnel system under the Headquarters, and leads them to the garage.
Morris sits with Trevor Slattery as the group steals Razor Fist's car and escapes. After that, they arrive and await outside the forest maze to Ta Lo. Morris alerts Katy to drive into the forest and calls out spots to avoid being eaten by the forest, narrowly making it through to the waterfall portal.
As a Dijiang, Morris is usually cheery and sweet, especially around Trevor Slattery, and is happy to see more Dijiang when he and the others enter Ta Lo. But he is sensitive, especially when others talk about him not having a face.
