20 years ago when I first started to listen to her music - I thought she was the prettiest woman I’ve ever seen - and we all know there is a lot of pretty ones in show business.......amazing enough she’s still the prettiest one - 20 years later - she’s timeless. It has lifted me up and kept me strong through my husband's battle with cancer and it has gotten me through his passing. I will forever cherish her music. I am struggling emotionally , so I listen to her music and things don't seem so bad.

I made it as far as I could. 2001. Then went homeless after losing sister in drunk driving accident, divorce. But, husband died & left me with 2 babies in diapers. Got 2 jobs & carried on. I Feel Like A Woman!, That Don't Impress Me Much!, You're Still The One, From This Moment On... those are her biggest selling singles - they come from Come On Over which is the biggest selling album by a female of all time - you just can't understand that kind of success. It's otherworldly... it will never be done again (I believe) and if it does - the woman that breaks that record will have worked so incredibly hard for it because to sell 40 million albums from one album - you have to work so hard. Let alone that, but to sell 3 diamond albums in the biggest music market share in the world (USA) is just amazing....

As a kid, her music was always my favourite. I'm glad to see Shania chose a path of female empowerment, persistence, humility and self-knowing that brought her to the career peaks, relationships and entertainment highs she has today. I love the Queen Ant analogy. It's an inter-dependent relationship between the star/celebrity and their audience. I'm happy to see our media is getting more raw and real by the day.

Reading her autobiography was incredible; raw, honest and in it’s authenticity she gained even further respect from me. She is beautiful, human and humane, compassionate and ethical from the inside out. Shania-and her family-are real. We sure as hell loved her sound in our household. I grew up in a household that had Shania Twain blasting as we danced around the living room. Where we belted each lyric out despite not being able to sing anywhere near the way she could. Along with other great artists the songs that filled my childhood by Shania Twain made for some epic memories with my mother and my sisters that I will carry for the rest of my life. Even though my mother passed away in January 2014. Shania Twain and her music still remain a massive thing that my mother and I will always share a mutual love for. Hopefully one day I will be ready to share her music with my children and turn my adult home into the amazing home I grew up in for my children. So they to can experience the works of great artists like Shania ❤

Thank you Shania for sharing your story. It will help so many. The part of these interviews about this is the part that actually "allows" or "silently supports" the trauma this causes to the mom's. She is traumatized, he is not. He can go on and smile, make jokes, be held up as a hero, as the mom lives in terror. This is how our culture that is about power " over" ; patriarchy, that honours the padre, and dismisses the mom. Ugh. I heard these interviews talk a LOT about a beautiful man that beat and almost killed a mom, who lived in terror, along with the kids. Men who are held up like this will NOT get help and the mom's will be left without support, protection or HONOUR and RESPECT. We have turned a blind eye on this, disregarded mom's for generations. It needs to be called out. She needed to be talked about. She needed for her children to speak up for HER and protected even AFTER the fact. Even a child needs to be called out when beating someone. Even a child. I am glad you are finding your voice, speaking up and learning about abuse and silence and POWER. Love & Light Shania 💗🕊

Ok, if I can get the tears to stop. I'm trying to type as I reflect not only on the life history and present of the amazing woman who not only saved me a couple times, but helped me to raise myself through my following her example of what a woman should be. I wouldn't be the woman I've become right now without #ShaniaTwain, and there's honestly nobody who knows how or why this such came to be including the woman I've always called " Miss Thang" or "The Queen of SASS"! There's just not enough space, and I can't see through my tears as I've never had the opportunity or privilege of meeting, and due to my circumstances of what is just my life. I've also never had the opportunity to even see #ShaniaTwain in person whether it be live or any other way. This poor gal from the age of 15 to present ( seriously won't share unless it be to #ShaniaTwain personally ) just can't seem to find a way to see let alone meet her. I've only been able to dream about it. Yes! As an almost 37 year old woman who has 3 kids ranging from almost 16 to 9 years old as well as an only parent to them with no child support. All I can and or will say is that it was, has been, and continues to be #ShaniaTwain who somehow even when the darkest of days which seem to be much more than less, I put on ( hook my phone to my stereo ) and my 9 yr old daughter and I just sing and 💃 to her music. I know why #ShaniaTwain has been the inspiration to keep me going aside from my kids 2 teen boys, and 9yr old lil 👧! I used to think, and believe even that I'd one day get to share my story with her. To be able to tell #ShaniaTwain why her!? Yet, now I see that day will never come. Many reasons why, and the top reason being #ShaniaTwain don't even know who I am period, and the other main reason being that I still am as poor now as I was as that 15 yr old young woman I once was when I came across a box filled with #ShaniaTwain everything! That's where it began, and it continues although my dream of meeting her to tell her never has come true, the impact, and the person I turned out to be considering what and where I came from is a huge part of my connection to #ShaniaTwain. I can only do as I've always done. Enjoy and cherish the me I am due to her, and continue to watch #ShaniaTwain not only move forward, but she's still helping me try to claw my way forward so to speak. I can honestly say that no matter what, there will not ever be another such as #ShaniaTwain, and I'm so grateful to God she exists! Sometimes, I feel like God knew that I needed her, and we'll I'm still here so he sure knew that #ShaniaTwain is the person needed for me to be the me I am today! Never met her, only wish I could yet #ShaniaTwain will always be that person to me of which as I said before, I'd only share with #ShaniaTwain herself. That being said, this poor Momma is forever grateful to and for her! If you don't know who #ShaniaTwain is?! Well, I don't have friends, but if I did they'd have to know #ShaniaTwain!
