Ace's death was hard, but not every pirate is good. But remember we are seing this from Luffys and his allies POV, what about the rest of the world? There are good pirates, but 98% of all pirates are evil, r*ping, killing, scum. The marines represent justice and hope for the normal people, without marineford that hope crumbles and the 98% wil take advantage of this to do evil. I love the 2% of good pirates, but the Marines are still the good guys. No matter what anyone thinks...

For the marines, the reason they chase down the pirates is so that since they are all grouped up at marineford, they can bring down an entire yonko crew easier. It's common knowledge that when someone attacks you not to let them leave unharmed

its funny because law is called "the surgeon of death" yet it also surprised me when i found out that he is also the doctor.

A few episodes ago it was mentioned that the Redhair pirates were in the way to Marineford, but that the other emperor, Kaidou, got in their way and delayed their travel. If not for that Shanx would have stopped that war much earlier and a lot of people would not have died.

So you've probably been enlightened to this but Admiral Sakazuki 'Akainu' was the same one who nuked the Oharan refugee ships cuz he didn't wanna risk any archaeologists sneaking free (He was Vice Admiral Sakazuki at the time). Each marine has their own 'justice' like each pirate has their own moral code, just the navy-sided monsters hid until they got enough power to not be usurped. Like Axe-Hand Morgan being a normal marine like young Coby until Captain Pussyfoot Maneuver Kuro broke his jaw and left him as the surviving marine that caught 'him'(his hypnotized lookalike) and bing bang boom he got power, swole, and someone fisted his arm stump with lumberjack equipment. Also if the theme hasn't been pointed out in ALL this time which is unlikely....All the admirals have their real names but they have their code-names that seem to be assigned once they get that rank. Borsalino the Yellow Monkey, Sakazuki the Red Dog, and Kuzan the Blue Pheasant (Did a quick check and saw you are done with Dressrosa so Issho the Wisteria Tiger, and wisteria is a plant the same shade of purple as all his gear.)
