Shanks being so badass was honestly very satisfying to see

I got "Volume 4 billion". It contains Oda's sketches of characters shown in the movie (incl Shank's crew) with short notes. I've had a suspicion that Shanks has been a noble like Doffy or the Nefetari family since ch. 907. Without trying to spoil the movie: To be honest, I expected more "current Shanks" screen time. Personally I didn't think the movie revealed much info about him other than that Shanks was found in a chest, something new about his sword and his crew's fighting styles and abilities (obviously we already know Shanks is OP in terms of haki as displayed in the latest chapter). I enjoyed the movie it gave me some musical vibes though, but me and my friend left the cinema quite confused as to how the movie ended and carried on like it never happened. For me it wasn't a "MUST WATCH" type of movie to keep up to date with the lore, because I thought everything was still quite too ambiguous. I say all this as a big fan since childhood (I'm a bit of a movie critique), but please do take my word with a grain of salt. Because your expectations or thoughts about the movie might be much different than mine. :)

Hearing that Shueisha wanted Oda's manga to coincide with the movie is such a letdown to hear. It sounds like Oda had to throw away ideas and rush the ending of Wano just for corporate profits.

Before I watch the video: I have always had this feeling that Shanks and Dragon share something that we haven't noticed or told. I made a bet with my close friends, years ago, that 1. That said, barring Fearland Shanks meaning Fearlan D. Shanks, Shanks doesn't share the D.'s thought process, and so may arrive at a radically different conclusion from Luffy.

My theory: Rocks.D.Xebec is the father of Shanks. Here's how:- Rocks wanted to rule the world so he decided to kill the celestial dragons at god valley to overthrow the world government but failed to do so because when he was in 'God Valley' (The old home of the celestial dragons) he met a girl who was from the fearland celestial dragon family and came to really like her cause she was kind and caring unlike the other celestial dragons. He fell in love with her, he forgot about his ambition to rule the world and they had a child but when the celestial dragons found out that shanks mother was having affairs with a common man she was executed and when rocks found out he remembered about his ambition to rule the world and tried to kill the celestial dragons again but was thrown out of God valley by the admirals and one of the admirals (Sengoku) secretly took care of shanks for 1 year. Then rocks decided that he alone wasn't strong enough to defeat the celestial dragons and created the rocks pirates and then attacked god valley and before the battle Sengoku left shanks in a chest and fled from God valley because he knew rocks was coming. Then rocks was stopped by roger and garp and Rogers crew found shanks in the chest. The celestial dragons or the world government (except for Sengoku, garp and the 5 elders) Don't know about shanks being the son of rocks and a member of the fearland family and this is why he was able to stop the war and why he could meet the 5 elders. PS: just a theory from my side don't turn into edgy teenagers in the comments.

I am immensely disappointing in the forced marketing. I was looking forward to post Wano more than the climax itself and the fact it was rushed through to make an unnatural Shanks cameo for a movie I won't be able to watch for months at the very least. No only was all the post victory atmosphere skipped, the worlds reactions (which I still hope we somehow get as the other bounties are revealed) felt like they were skipped too. Then to top it all off we get Mr Greenbull come in and everyone thought 'He's here because he's from Wano and Zoro's dad' or 'He's here to teach Momo the reality of the world if he opens the borders'. Nope. He's here to be a goofball and make Shanks look all tough and scary! Not only did this turn Greenbull's entire character into a joke but it downplayed Momo a lot. Why even bother making Luffy etc sit out if he was going to get his ass saved anyway? Movie money!

My personal theory is that Buggy is Xebec’s son. Both are actually cowards and mislabeled by history and WG as major threats when in actuality they’ve been falling upwards. Xebec was seen as a major force but was most likely just getting lucky his entire life and was dumbingly attacking the nobles in a plot similar to what Buggy would conjure up. Also the cross guild is a clear parallel to the rocks alliance.

It makes sence why shanks and blackbeard didnt like eachother form the start one is a celestial dragon while other is from the d clan but the irony is the d clan member is the evil one of the 2

I like to think that luffys fire can maybe do something else given the amount of heat/flame abilities there are in one piece. Maybe nerf haki of those who go against the drums of liberation or even buff haki but this is just my head canon.

The world nobles do leave the grand line, I believe it was a world noble that decided to shoot Sabos ship back in the day, and that was in the East blue. We also know that Charlos would take random women and make them his wives and randomly get rid of the ones he was tired of. So it's entirely possible that Shanks is only half world noble, we also know that God Valley had slaves there too, so he could have had a slave mother too.

I just saw the movie today since I live in France, and I gotta say, it's a good one let's be honest. It ain't amazing, but there are some moments in it I really enjoyed.
