I’m in year 13 of Stage 4 spread to my bones. She’s the first public personality to share her story. It’s wonderful. The women who refused to share missed out on helping others, encouraging others, possibly even speeding up new treatments etc. Good for her.

@@purselmer5931 Hi, I’m referring to so many women that have dealt with Stage 4 and said nothing. Their following could have possibly helped so many. I can’t think of any well known person that publicized their battle. Elizebeth Warren, Olivia Newton John said little but not enough to fire up anything. Joan Collin’s sister refused to discuss it. If you are well known, you can move mountains. No one is coming to mind that fought for this cause. In my 13 years honed there isn’t much change.

@@dawndemet3331yes, you have the opportunity to move mountains, but you’re not obligated to do so. Everyone works through traumatic experiences in a different way. Some pick up the torch and raise awareness and some are so panicked when confronted with their own mortality that they can think of nothing but that. Whether you do or not, I personally wouldn’t fault those people for not choosing to be in the spotlight when they’re dealing with potentially the most traumatic experience ever. I don’t fault people for that. Famous or not. People are just people, after all.

@@ODDentitypod I respect your thoughts. As for me, if I ever had a force in my life to help make a change so others could never have to deal with this, I’d do it. I feel it’s a shame to waste that opportunity. I’m in 13 years of this and the suffering and death still shock me. When you see Mothers dying young, and their children growing without her, it’s awful. Younger and younger women are getting this and dying. We need help.

I am just a couple of years younger than her and grew up seeing her as an outstanding beauty; she always had a touch of fierceness and character in interpreting her roles, never seemed to fit into the 'just good-looking barbie', and that made her special to me. WOW! Her resilience during this "chapter" in her life, reminds me of the several episodes on Little House as Jenny. When she almost drowned trying to retrieve her locket and Jeb saved her. She was introduced to a man who helped her through her struggles, while she cared for a hurt bird. That is what I am seeing here......she is on a journey for her life, yet she is still trying to reach out to help others. How ironic, or even insightful, that series of episodes was in comparison to today. She may have been in other shows, but to me she will always be Jenny from Little House.

I have loved Shannen since her Little House On The Prairie days. She seemed to have an inner strength even back then. I am beyond impressed with how she is handling her illness. The disc's slide out of a sleeve that is the BOS (book of shadows) with the creatures. I took the DVDs out and put them in a zipped pouch. It is beautiful!

I am so sorry to hear that! I am curious, do you live in an area with Lyme disease and if so, have you been tested? There are people around here that have similar symptoms due to chronic Lyme disease. It's not a very understood illness.

@@AfrohairliciousI’ve seen several specialists & 12 MRI’s. They’re all clueless. The only think they can come up with is that I have cervical dizziness but don’t know what’s wrong with my legs. So frustrating.

She has been through so much. Losing her dad, luke perry, the wildfires in CA, and her health. She demonstrates so much intelligence and zest for life and courage. She has one of the nicest smiles of anyone. Very talented actress. watch her act and see all the subtle movements she does with her eyes & body. Also I dont think she did anything especially crazy that any 19-early 20s person has not done before. The entertainment industry can be very unfair and unforgiving. They are quick to put you on a pedestal but also quick to kick you down. She acts because she genuinely loves doing it, and you have to let the chips fall where they may. She continues to put her time into giving back & communicating. *She seems to have a big heart and feels things very deeply.* She is someone to admire and care about. It takes guts to continue to be on camera and give back to the community and she also looks great & attractive. Im glad she is in a good place in life with access to the best medical care and good weather/lifestyle. She deserves it. She should be proud of herself. We love you.

I could say soooooo many positive things about the 30 plus year's that I've enjoyed you and your craft. I could go on and on about how positive you are, even when faced with such serious challenges.
