If it's true that Zion didn't wanna be in New Orleans from day one and it has impacted his mindset, then it's very disappointing. I think of LeBron and how he turned the Cavs around, made them relevant and took them to the Finals his first go round with them. I think of MJ getting drafted to Chicago on a team that was on the verge of being sold and relocated the season prior in 1983-84 due to financial troubles and dwindling attendance. MJ stayed and the rest is history. Zion has the opportunity to do this in New Orleans and make that franchise his own and synonymous with himself, a team that AD departed and that's never won anything.

I don't consider San Antonio a small market team bro. They've had Iceman George Gervin, Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Kawhi Leonard, and on and on. Small market teams usually don't get players like that. And yes I understand some of these players were drafted like Wemby, but everyone was super excited for the Spurs to get him because they know SA has a history of developing big guys. If it were a small market team we'd all want him traded to another team where he could maximize his potential. Edit - Okay so technically they are a small market team geographically, but I personally don't consider them small market.

I agree with Shannon on the second point. When you're playing against your buddy, you typically want bragging rights. You want to be able to say you genuinely outplayed your bro. When it's a grudge rivalry, games can get exciting, but not clean. Look at golden state against Memphis. That rivalry was crazy for all the hits and smack-talking going on. But golden state vs Sacramento now, is always must-see tv, because both teams are simply determined to outplay each other. Now when it's both, like the heat and Celtics, or warriors against cavs last decade, magic happens fr

From a local perspective, I think we are seeing the absolute worst of Willy. This is not Zion’s offense. This is not the offense that had him looking like short shaq even last year. The lineups don’t make sense, and they are making him play point, and dribble through a zone instead of letting him catch it below the free throw line. A certain pels fan favorite is also a huge issue, and him coming back ground the pels offense to a halt last season. Dyson needs to start with Zion. Let him handle and let Zion go to work in an area where he’s effective.

@fireblood4699
@fireblood4699 8 ай бұрын
@@SnapperHillMusic I disagree. He doesn’t need to play guard. There’s a difference between him using skills to attack from anywhere on the floor and making him handle from the top of the key against a zone every play. The latter is what made Milwaukee such a bad playoff team. And really it’s the hallmark of most teams that fail in the playoffs, harden rockets, dame blazers, etc. it’s bad ball.

I'm in a similar situation to Zion - I'm not crazy about my current surroundings, therefore I'm not really being myself. Which can only lead to misery. What both of us needs to do is focus on being the best version of ourselves, and then suddenly our surroundings will be what we want them to be.
