Things like this happen in baseball too and it sucks. Roberto Alomar was denied first ballot induction because of his umpire spit incident even though he apologized and years later had a good relation with the umpire. T.O. was the most complete wide receiver to play the game in my opinion and I was very happy he did not go to Canton as a protest to the clowns that vote on these inductions. These players sacrifice a lot of their lives to get to that level and it's shameful that inept people pass judgement on something that costs blood, sweat and tears to these men.
@KneeGrowNation00
@KneeGrowNation00 3 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but you can’t compare T.O. with Monk in my opinion. I think that T.O. is a top 15 player of all time. Watching this guy play the game along with the stats are undeniable. Of course writers and voters had something against this cat and the NFL allowed people who didn’t play the game get away with him.

Thinking X well that says a lot about you. He’s not going so I don’t think he cares if they acknowledge him or not. He’s spending the time with the ones he actually cares about. Cause he doesn’t have the personality that u or the voters like means absolutely nothing. The numbers say he’s a HOF and the only reason they didn’t vote him in the first two times was cause they didn’t like him and to send a message, well it works both ways. Why do people care about him not going if they don’t like him anyway? It’s obvious he could care less how u feel about him. You never played with him or against him

ROOTZ MAGAZINE so why was he campaigning to get in these last few years? He was on every talk show complaining about not getting in and then he finally gets elected he decides to not go. Super childish. And he wonders why he was labeled a locker room cancer. And he wonders why the 50 voters made him wait this long . "He's a living legend with or without the Hall of Fame....... This only hurts T.O., the hall of Fame doesn't need him. I guess it's worth it for him to "cut his nose to spite his face". Whatever floats his boat I guess. Hall of Famer Terrel Owens commands more money in appearances than former NFL star T.O.. He should be on T.V. but he's too much of a headcase for anyone to deal with.

Idiotic Tirades Its kinda a mute point now.. He's in.. The Hall hurt it's self though. Everyone and their mother knows that his dominace within his stats definitely made him a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. The Hall is all about your greatest within your stats. Not your personal opinions. They damaged their credibility by letting a bunch of people who've never played the game shun one of their own due to their personal biases..

BrandonDetroitfan Michaels I disagree. Megatron and Julio are more physically gifted than Moss. Owens was a more complete receiver who blocked and went over the middle. You know what's hilarious? When Shannon started talking he mentioned about T.O. not knowing how others have spoken to HOF voters in support of him, that just blows my mind. If there is a player in the history of the NFL who shouldn't need that at all it's someone widely considered one of the top 2 or 3 WR's in the history of the NFL. That's like saying when Payton or Brady's HOF entry comes around they're gonna need some help convincing the voters. That would be insulting because their careers speak for themselves. Same with T.O.

Thinking X News flash.. If it was Peyton M. it would be ok right? Have you ever seen him or Tom Brady never get there way? Did you not here the stories about Peyton during his only superbowl run that he had to give up a lot of his control over the offense which he was crying... ehhhemm arguing over but ended up winning.. and it helps having a great Defense too. Maturity is only an issue if it causes a divide in the locker room by your own hand.. not ppl in the back round pulling strings like puppet masters... but obviously you are like plenty of the folks who believes in the narrative that the media has portrayed of T.O. devin mckinney nah it just shows that he's bitter and a crybaby. He was campaigning to get voted in and then he finally gets elected and he now chooses not to attend the ceremony? Come on man it's clear that he is trying to stick it to them for not making him a first-ballot inductee. Lynn Swann and John Stallworth waited combined 20 something years. And they were Super Bowl champions four times over.

Idk man....I'm kinda split. Part of me understands the bitterness from basically being disrespected by voters. Other part says, this was YOUR profession, and you being recognized as being one of the best ever at your job!! That's special. Shannon kinda swayed me towards the latter..I respect his decision either way.

I feel like why T.O was also mad was because they kept him out for all these off the field reasons but randy moss goes in on first ballot I know it’s petty but it’s just another slap in the face 🤦🏻‍♀️
