Your video is educative. About the eight fold path, I know where the Buddha taught this. Many of the ancient sangarams are today villages in the state of Bihar in India. There is one unique village name which is NAWADA meaning eight promises. These villages are common in Bihar. Eight promises can be translated as the eight fold path. It seems these villages had the pleasure of the Buddha preaching to the distant ancesters of the present day villagers, ‘The eight fold path’. Infact Sariputra became an Arhat in a sangaram called NAWADA in Vaishali.

The question, why we are humans with desires and energies attract that lead to results. Those results give different relationships, reactions, and stages of life. At the end we compromise only to a point. All human consciences just an experiences and flash back. Aging is lesson, we all learn in self reflect. True self of awareness. It is a cycle. Buddhism should be light and peaceful. Every time listen to the Master always sound deep diving tone. Should be fun and sharing like a white feather.

I got a little confused when they stated "Life is connected to suffering", I was looking for a solution to understand the cause of the suffering and then get rid of it, but then i realised something that made things clear. We tend to think about suffering and other emotions by a "self", "I" perspective, because we are attached to the experiences that happen in our lives. But the first noble truth must be understood by the statement: there is suffering. And not by "my life is connected to suffering" or "I suffer", or "my suffering is present in life". A dog being kicked, and you being kicked results in the same suffering, but the problem is when you put a "self" there that judges "your" suffering is bigger or smaller than the dog's, the ego playing with narratives and trying to bring everything to a personal level, when everything is just a constant flow of goings and comings, like the chain ⛓️ he mentioned in the video.

If life is supposed to be taken as it is given, why do we feel the urge to push and pull in the first place. Any aid I give myself to return to health from sickness will eventually cause a more significant sickness. Regardless, once participated in the push and pull there no escape, as if there was, you would quit exactly when you are satisfied. What you have pushed, will come near but it will go far again. Whether you stop pushing and pulling or not. The pendulum is already in motion.

For me, this suffering comes from the realization that life here offers great lessons and experiences. On the one hand, I am mesmerized by the magnitude of life here and the beautiful possibilities. And then I think I am here because I am still incarnating (aka not free, limited and bound). On other planes, we are more free and happy! And I feel sad about it. So, I am exploring this weird bittersweet emotion. I feel like a spiritual bipolar.
@maxk880
@maxk880 Жыл бұрын
Lets not compare spiritual problems to mental disease like bipolar disease. It's a very torturous mental disease that wrecks the brains and lives of those affected. That being said: This spiritual ambivalence is exactly what bhuddism is about. The path to enlightenment is an acceptance of where we/you are right now. This plane. This is the right plane, because this is the plane that you are currently in. The more that I meditate, the more that I come to realise this. Acceptance is the only way

When you live in corruption, there are no healthy attitudes. The only way is, if a person has his own moral code, to push. If you don't do that, you agree to participate in dirty games. Example: The boss asks you to write in the official administration that he did a large part of the work, which he did not. In other words, he asks you to lie because that's how he profits, and besides, you're in a subordinate position, so you're expected to be obedient because he's paying you. He is influential. And rich enough. So are you going to say "No, I won't lie, neither for myself nor for you", push everything and go without a salary...or will you lie for existential security. And jobs in all systems are a pure mirror of corruption. The root of corruption is a lie. And the plant that grows from such a root is not bamboo... And yes, you should push away as hard as you can, if you are anchored in yourself. Sometimes when you push away all the trash, you become aware of your strength. You have to say "No" and stand up straight, when you are expected to bend down and say "Yes". If you don't do that, you cripple yourself as a human being. The worst thing in life is to loose yourself...

That's the basic error of Buddhist or any other suffering avoiding strategies. They all think: Oh we just have to do this and that and another 8 steps and suffering is ending. It's just another way trying to escape from real life. Drugs are very popular for this approach but also intellectual escapes like philosophies, religions, personal world views that just ignore reality (very popular these days). I'm not a Christian or anything, but a lot of people think of Jesus as a God. You think he was just not smart enough and should have become a Buddhist to avoid suffering 😉? Life begins if you accept both suffering and joy. In a polar world you can't get rid of just one pole. See Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide. Kill Mr. Hyde and you kill Dr. Jekyll. Or like Goethe tells us in Faustus: "Two souls, alas! reside within my breast, And each withdraws from, and repels, its brother. One with tenacious organs holds in love And clinging lust the world in its embraces; The other strongly sweeps, this dust above, Into the high ancestral spaces." Since I'm not Goethe, I would say: "Just grow a pair" 😉
