Turn Your BONES, FISTS, & SHINS into IRON with THIS TOOL | REAL IRON BONE #kungfu #martialarts #ironfist #ironbone #karate #ironshin #shaolin #taekwondo • Turn Your BONES, FISTS...
I have been training Iron Bone, Iron Shin, and Iron Fist Kung Fu since I was 18 years old. In that time this "tapping rod" or "Iron Bone Wisk" has been my constant training companion. You can make the same tool for conditioning and training your shins, forearms, collar bones, and ribs for about $18. In this video I show you how to make the tool and the exercises I do everyday!

Think you went too hard , constant little taps he was showing, maybe start with soft foam stick to warmup then wisk and at end to warmdown with soft stick, or something soft only for first month or something , I definetly learned from video, maybe watch several different studies and educate yourself first start easy and analize how you feel next day before you go harder. I'm still learning myself but I use warmup , warmdown with soft stick and I'm fine .

8:40 THIS. When it comes to fighting, you need the MINIMUM amount of muscle to be precise, agile and stubborn. A true fighter cares most about his skeleton/tendons/joints/lungs/heart than about his muscles when it comes to body strenght. Muscles and technique generate momentum = speed and skill, but the true strenght/resistance from blows comes from bone density. We hit with our bones, not with our muscles, just like when we use a weapon, we use our muscles to direct it, but the weapon deals the blow, and our bones endure it. Try grabbing a huge medieval mallet and stomping it with all your body strenght into a steel wall. You skeletn will get hurt because its density wasnt in pair with the hammers hardness. Tats why farmers are people to be feared of. 10/10 info in this video. He even mentions the importance of bone nutrition. If you are searching for wisdom, here it is.

When I joined the Army I often had to fire a rifle at the range from the prone position with my weight resting on my legs and elbows on hard concrete. It sucked and I couldn't hold that position long due to the elbow pain. Over time my elbows grew stronger and it became easy. What this guy is teaching is the same thing. As for his fighting style. The effectiveness of any style depends on the rules of competition. On the street victory goes to whoever "cheats" best. No fighting style is going to stop a weapon you never saw coming. Don't street fight. It's stupid.

Hi Jake, you may want to add in some more disclaimers or training to this video! I was told to only do iron bone training very moderately. Traditional Chinese Medicine has it that all of the body's energy meridians end up in your hands and that Iron Palm training can -- even with the proper use of liniment -- over time, damage your internal systems in unpredictable ways, causing illness in later life. (I have varicose veins in my legs from iron training.) {1} Go very moderately, like once every 3 months. ( i.e. treat it like you broke a bone! Bone generally takes six to 12 weeks to heal to a significant degree) Certain fractures in young kids can heal as quickly as 3 weeks, while it may take as long as 6 weeks for the same kind of fracture to heal in teens. And some fractures can take as long as 10 weeks to heal. {2} to not go so hard as to leave a bruise! {3} massage it out, with the use "dit da jow" for any iron training. (I was at one school & they had students put it on after using Mook Jong) also, watch out for bad JOW - If the dit da jow you are using contains substances such as "horse coin" then YES! it is highly poisonous. There are several forms of ddj that have very poisonous substances included in them. Vinegar is a good base jow but it stinks so put it on for about 30 mins then rinse off. but you may want to apply it a few times a day. another is 4 cups of either rice wine or vodka. Combine herbs in a glass jar, cover with a lid and soak and store in a cool, dark place for at least two weeks. Shake the jar daily. (Not sure why but there are both Chinese & American recipes, I AM NOT AN EXPERT) Also, the joke was don't drink the Jow (as it was often stored in a pitcher for easier application) (Seriously ) Liniments are not for internal consumption!!

HI Jake this is a very, very good video for what you call "iron bone" training. I hold a 4 degree black sash in Kung Fu San Soo (Choi LI Ho Fut Hung Ga) I am very familiar with this type of training but I have to say the tool you show is really super and I will definitely make one right away since we always used 5 star or seven star partner training and once you get to ta certain level it becomes harder and harder to find training partners as most people don't want to go through the discomfort of the process. One are I feel you left out was the inside muscular side of the forearm, this area can be toughened to be like a truck tire without any damage to nerves etc,. when I got tougher I used the trunks of small maple trees as training tools when I walked in the woods anything up to about 4 inches in diameter after that they didn't have enough give. This also strengthened the muscles in the upper body, torso, chest, arms etc. this was accentuated by the vibration sent back by the tree which stimulated strength and toughening even more. At 70 I can still take a guy my size 6'3" off his feet with an arm to arm strike like this. Before you say it "usually" an arm to arm strike like this is not street real unless someone were to try to reach out an grab you then there are a 1000 other ways you could handle the situation. But to simply swat the arm away and take someone down can be very effective and discouraging to the average tough guy. Again thanks for the great idea for the training tool and the super explanation for those not familiar with it. Also a special thanks for the collar bone training idea, that's an area I have missed and although I know it's a weak area never really trained it. We learn something new everyday, agains Thanks

So u hit a guy in the fore arm or around the chest/side area and u can take them of their feet?
@miked.7722
@miked.7722 Жыл бұрын
@@Dan-ek5ocHi Dan, the forearm, the reason it can work is their arm is extended and they are easily taken off balance, if they go down they usually aren't hurt bad just knocked down due to being off balance and with this type of conditioning you feel nothing. and you don't always take them down, but you can take them way off balance (then you own them) or you can break their forearm. The break happens when you strike with your radius bone into their ulna (the inside of the forearm) which is much smaller than the radius bone. Stiking the chest or side area can easily break ribs and cause major bruising but you won't normally knock them down, unless it hurts so bad they collapse, this happens most often when you strike low into the liver area.

Look, I don’t see why you are getting so much hate. This was a helpful tutorial because I actually wanted one of these tools but didn’t know how to get them. Even if he is doing the martial arts “dance” wrong, it still helps because he says it trains ENDURANCE and POWER. Of coarse he isn’t going do that in a real situation, so most of the commenters aren’t even real martial artists.

This is fantastic training tips. A couple questions, how long before this type of training truly takes effect and how long in between treatments? I would ask how long the healing periods take but that depends on the individual.
@miked.7722
@miked.7722 Жыл бұрын
this type of training takes months, but you will notice results within a couple of weeks, how often depends on how you fast heal, wait until the bruises are almost gone before training again. it is a painful process but once you have been doing this for a while your forearms become like leather covered tire irons and surprisingly they don't become numb you don't damage the nerves everything just becomes tougher.

If you don't glue or weld them all together, it will come apart over time. Be sure to glue it internally or get a welder and weld the end behind the grip so thy do not slide out of it over time. Other than that, those long term repetitive impacts really do work, just like kicking banana trees, weight bags, socks filled with sand or lead shot, etc.

Just a little point Jake, speeded up video is NOT time lapse. Time lapse is when you film one frame every so often in order to show extremely slow occurrences like the stars moving. You filmed at normal speed, then played it faster.

Very interesting, but what is your reason for doing all of this training? You said in the first part of the video something about turning your body into a weapon, but a weapon for what? How many fights do you get into per month? How many situations do you experience where you need this kind of training? Not counting sparring, how many actual fights have you been in in your life time? I ask these questions not to be rude, or argumentative but with great curiosity as to what you are preparing for, or what your sponsoring thought is behind all of this? I used to be heavy into Martial Arts as well.
