One of the most underrated singers..ever.. So many of his songs cut right to the core of who you are or how you feel.

This song is such sweet deception. There's this catchy, stylish, pop-fortyish, uptempo music with a great dance-friendly rhythm - steady drums, cool bass line, sizzling (but not searing) lead guitar... And then, those lyrics... Those dig-right-down-into-your-chest-and-expose-your-heart lyrics. Words that are the antithesis of the bright-and-cheerful music. Words that paint this beautiful, poignant, pain-drenched picture of a life and a love that were lost. What rare artistry...

This is truly brilliant song writing and musical artistry. Takes me back to 1986 when I was 27 years old. I love this song, so much emotion, love and turmoil. Art like this no longer exists, what a shame art in our society has deteriorated so much.

This still gives me chills. I lived thru a relationship just like this. I cant believe i survived it. The emotional twist between two people can sometimes just not be fixable. Thirty years later i am grateful i learned from it, appreciated the love we created and was able to move on without him.

One of the best singer songwriters of the 70s . I still think the Eagles stole Take It Easy from Jackson it was such a huge hit and Jackson wrote it and later recorded it. If anyone deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice it is this man. Awesome music 100 years from now he is a big part of rock history. He did the world such a big favor by singing some of his songs and not standing in the shadows and letting other bands take all the credit and all the glory that goes with these outstanding songs. He is definitely one of my favorite rock artists of all time and forever.

So my generation doesn't know of Jackson...im a 1983 baby but He's my absolute favorite. Was playing pool the other night.. live artist (1guy but he was good..chris stapleton type.) was playing 'take it easy' and said it was eagles after. I asked if he'd take requests. Said yes, "OK can you play doctor my eyes? You do know what you just played was a jackson Browne song, right?: He said," who?" Lol also sad.

@@kristenwoods8158 Gregg Allman played These Days on a solo album, another Jackson Brown song. People who do not know what a huge talent Jackson has for songwriting and singing really missed the boat on that one

I have a ruby necklace that I wear because of the great importance, Your words really says it all. It is oval not in the shape of a heart, but just below it a loving heart that beats. This was the first song I ever hear you sing. I missed out on the time when you were a household name. There are other songs I like very much. Life changes on a heart beat.😢

A break up. The album was released while he was out of town. He knew I wouldn’t be there when he came back. On the stand beside the bed I left a bracelet with a pendent in the shape of a heart and this song cued up on the cassette tape. No hate or hurt. Just sadness that it was gone. The song helped - a lot.

The first time I heard it, the words knocked me back like cold water waking you up. It so perfectly fit the explanation of what I had lived through. What many of us experience in a love relationship.
