IF you are curious, the felt is from Judith M Millinery Supply and the Aleene's fabric stiffener can probably be found at most craft stores, including Joann's

I love the idea of snufkin having a cat. I might draw some art of the cat playing with the feathers on his hat. Also the cat would be besties with little my and misbehave like her. The cat would also travel with him and collect herb to put in his soups. And they would cuddle with snufkin in his tent next the warm fire. Your cat is very inspirational!

Don't know what snufkin is number one I'm old ( 70) and number. 2 I live in uk. However I like the hat mainly because I have been a witch all my adult life and I think making their own hats is a good exercise for the coven. Many thanx

I had that same dryer too but just got them replaced with a full size LG set. If you have the washer be careful because they are prone to mold growth!

+dorian gay I have a few questions. I dont entirely understand felting, as I am new to cosplay and craft work. At 3:20, is that what the entire fabric looks like? A small strip that expands after hang drying? Or was that only a small piece as an example?

oh hell no lol the little scrap was just what i used to give a visual idea of the "boiling" process, i didn't record anything from when i actually soaked and dried the whole uncut piece of felt until i hung it up to dry like that. the felt does warp and stretch when wet, that's really the whole point of steaming it, but certainly not to that extent

Rumix what do i use for the felt, you mean? it's 100% wool, i got it from a hatmaking supply website. i'd say poke around on the internet and see what's available to you, maybe look in some craft or fabric stores if you have any nearby. 100% wool is necessary for this kind of process because of how it stretches and shrinks-- synthetic felt doesn't behave the same way. and the stiffener is just a regular fabric stiffener :3

Romix. Felt is available in most countrys. Try either a craft store or a material shop. Failing that look on line.

i got the styrofoam cone from an art/office supply place, i think it was like 10 maybe 12 inches tall?? and then i carved the top down to like 8 inches or so. i got it from a local store but if you have a joanns or a michaels or something similar nearby they'll probably have something similar

i did make her, i just used scraps of fabric i already had and some fabric markers for her face. i don't have a video about it, but im sure there are plenty of tutorials around online for making simple plush dolls!

the cone part of the hat is about 8 inches tall and 8 inches across at the base, and the brim was trimmed to 4 inches wide

i keep trying to reply to this on my phone and it never works so lets see if this shows up i took the cone and cut/rounded the top and taped it to an upside down animal crackers container. the bases of each had a bit of difference in size so i smoothed it out with a scrunched up sheet of plastic wrap

yeah pretty much. this felt is a pretty malleable material so if the base starts out too small it could be stretched to fit, but you defo dont wanna start with the base too big or it'll just fall down over your face

@@ecoeee1750 most craft stores have styrofoam stuff, and i would also encourage improvising with your garbage like i did if you cant find anything that's quite the right size/shape. like you could even stack empty containers as a foundation and hot glue cardboard over them
