I totally agree with you about makeup making you feel better! I feel the same way. People ask me all the time why I put on makeup everyday if I am not going to be out and about, or why I take the time to put on makeup when we are camping? I just enjoy the process and I feel better when I have my “face on.” It is just what I do and if it makes me feel better why should it bother others. 😊 You do what makes you happy! I know it may sound vain, but wearing makeup makes me look better and that makes me feel happy! ❤

I totally agree with you!! I'm the exact same way. I love wearing makeup 💄 whether I'm going somewhere or not. It just makes me feel happy and confident. And I just enjoy looking and dressing nice. Plus, it gives me an extra boost of confidence. 😊

My minimal make-up consists of a little bit of waterproof liquid liner and lipstick. The amount you put on is more than I would do for full face. Very beautiful, though.

First of all, I continue to love these uncut videos ~ have no problem with the length because it's like we're actually getting ready together start to finish, lol!😁 I can't wait to try the Almay foundation! I use Loreal Magic BB Cream as a foundation for spring and summer, it's is just like you showed about the Almay. It goes on white and then adjusts to my skin color. You need to buy the shade. Light, medium, or dark. I have the medium, and it is great. Light skin tint is perfect for me. My skin color is the same as yours, but I am cool.

I got the Almay Smartshade makeup that you showed and I LOVE IT! I got the light/medium and it matches my skin perfectly! I love that it has great coverage yet, it does not feel heavy and it doesn’t “pile” up in my 71 year old creases. It also lasts all day and looks just as good when I take my makeup off for the night as it did when I applied it! I also purchased the Tarte palette you showed and I love it too! Great color selection, in the shadows and the blushes! I love having it all together in one compact case. Thanks for sharing these! ❤

Great tips Sharalee! When I was a bit younger, I never went out without eye makeup on. Not even to my mailbox at the street. And for several years, I've discovered I'm allergic to eye makeup and foundation. I keep my hair color and style, (pixie), looking as nice as I can to offset the inability to wear makeup. You look beautiful as always!😊

Wow! Your lower lashes are longer and thicker than my top lashes! As a side note, I have been pleasantly surprised to discover that the rosehip seed oil I use at night seems to be nourishing my lashes. They appear longer and thicker than before, although nothing like yours. I believe the oil is moisturizing my lashes and preventing dryness and rapid fallout. Thanks Sharalee!

I just love your videos on your GRWM, and I’ve missed you this week. I love your colour combinations of makeup, the same ones I wear. I love the pink/ mauve combination for eye colours. When it comes to makeup, just do whatever makes YOU feel confident and beautiful! Full face or just mascara and lipgloss. Im excited for the skin care recommendations. Been dealing with dry skin, been trying the hydro boost line from Neutrogena but I think it’s making my skin more dry. Especially on my cheeks

Great video! I'm wanting to try the Almay Ageless Smart Shade Foundation. I used something similar a couple of years ago when Perbelle was everywhere on Instagram and Facebook. I gave it a try, but there was no choice of shades so it gave my skin a bit of a "chalky" look. I love that Almay has some shade choices which I think it will work much better on my skin.

I just found you - love your style! I'm 61 with a more medium complexion so your colors and techniques won't all work for me but you are so fun to watch. I have the same hair as you and the style as well, so I've loved your hair styling videos. I happened upon this video hoping to find a process that was quick yet effective. DANG WOMAN - this is NOT minimal!!! lol But you're super cute!! And NO to growing out the do!! It's fabulous, chic, stylish and suits you. I get comments from strangers on the street who love my hair, I bet you do as well. I do often see women with longer hair pulled back and for a minute wish I could but realize that the straightness and weight is problematic. I'm betting that you'll go through the grueling 'growing out' process only to cut it off again. I've been there....lol Your hair is fab!

Happy Saturday, I have been using a couple of the Bubble products for about 4-5 months. I love, love their vitamin c product. It comes in a yellow bottle. Its called " Day Dream" tone and texture. It has vitamin c, niacinamide, and and something for hyperpigmentation. Its great. It was just in the spring Amazon sale.

Love love love this video! We are on the same page pretty much with “minimal” makeup. The difference for me is I skip the bronzer, which I am kind of moving away from anyway, especially my forehead. All of a sudden, and without changing any of my products, I am not loving bronzer on my forehead, weird. Question please, how do you find the longevity of the magical Almay foundation to be?? Your makeup looks great as always. I tried to copy your ideas, but for me (69) it doesn´t work that good. Due to wrinkles around my eyes the eyeshadow never looks like yours. I never had any fillers or botox, so my wrinkles are there.... But I still use quite a few ideas you recommended. In Germany I can not find the same makeup, but I take quite a few ideas and hints from your videos. I probabely should look at the "60+" videos, but I enjoy your refreshing way of explaining. At the end we all should try to feel good and acknowledge , that each one of us is beautiful in her own way!! What counts is the glow we show from inside. And your glow is beautiful!

Lovely! Isn't it interesting, how different we all are? To me, everyday, minimal makeup is a tinted moisturizer (or sunscreen, if I'm going outside) and a tinted lip oil! 😂 Seriously though, menopause makes it nearly impossible for me to wear a full face of makeup anymore. The first hot flash and * poof * it's all gone 😞

Fellow hot flash sufferer here, 5 miserable years and counting…. Have you tried Estee Lauder double wear? The original. It is the only thing that works for me…. Heres to praying this cooking from the inside out experience ends soon for both of us!

I could tell a difference with the lighting before you mentioned it. I noticed it made everything a little too bright, absolutely didn’t make a difference in your beauty or the make up. You mentioned you wanted our opinion 😊

I am and always have been , a no makeup person, especially now that I'm retired. And, I wear glasses at all times. When I was working I would put on blush, eyeliner and mascara at the most. I have always hated the way foundation feels and I am not good at applying makeup. Now that I am in my 60s, however, I have sun spots, age spots, etc., and with all the new products available, I would like to try something new that is extremely light feeling and won't slide into any wrinkles and make them look worse. Also, I don't have the patience to do all the things you showed, and can't spend a fortune for makeup.

I blend it down just slightly but try to get a good enough color match so I don't have to bring it all the way down my neck...I hate getting makeup on the neckline of my clothes😆

I would like to see women feeling more confident and comfortable in their own skin without so much makeup. I caught my husband without wearing makeup. He always preferred the natural look in women. I still to this day wear very minimal (mascara and lipstick) to none at all. People have always told me I look younger than I am.
